My sister lived with schizophrenia, She went to a Misfits show in Winnipeg. She was early and was singing one of their songs. One of the members went behind her and grabbed her and sang with her. Alana committed subside on April 15th, 2013. I’ll always recall this story of happiness.

I like this one and Dust to Dust - from the Graves era. To be honest I sometimes like the Graves era better than the Danzig era. Probably cause Danzig era was very early days and Danzig himself was yet to mature as a songwriter. Static Age is a great album. But the Graves era songs sound better written.

Saw them in 97 opening for Megadeth,Graves was all decked out in the top hat and skully gear. He came into the crowd and threw his arm around my shoulder and crammed a mic in my hand. We sang this song,one of the coolest moments in my life.

@@jimbomorrison7133 Be careful tho... this is "second generation" Misfits. The original was with Danzig 1978-1983 and thats the "REAL" Misfits per se. That era suffered from poor recording quality, but as far as great punk rock bangers that are epic sing-alongs, check out "Skulls" "Hybrid Moments" "Hate Breeders" "Where Eagles Dare" and of course the epic "I turned into a Martian"

Horror punk pioneers Misfits visited Kubana festival in August 2013. Mikhail Gorshenev (Korol i Shut (King and Jester) band) has been their fan for many years. Many of you have probably seen him wearing Misfits printed t-shirts more than once. Jerry Only greeted the journalists at the press conference and said: Rest in Peace, Gorshok! In addition, Only honored the memory of Mikhail in a peculiar way, he wrote "Mikhail Gorshok" on his hand. He also expressed condolences to the fans and wished the members of the Korol i Shut band to take care. During their performance, Misfits dedicated two songs to Gorshok "Halloween" and "Descending Angel". 🤘

Have a great misfits story. Saw them when they first toured with Michael graves . Went to club babyhead in providence ri. The show was delayed due to a pipe burst over the stage and we stood outside for 2 hours waiting to get in ,in the winter . When the misfits came on they played for 3 1/2 hours because of what happened and at the end they ran out of songs and they started asking the crowd for songs and started replaying songs . Was a great night ...

if you're new to The Misfits, try to listen to different songs since each one of them has a different style. Dig Up Her Bones has a ''pop-punk'' vibe. If you want a hardcore punk song, try Earth A.D. Rockabilly/Elvis vibe, go with American Nightmare. Classic rock with a Jim Morrison vibe, try Come Back or Hybrid Moments. Classic 80's punk, I Turned Into a Martian. Thrash metal vibe, American Psycho or Helena (this one with a similiar riff to Sanitarium by Metallica). They've made a 7 minute song of pure heavy metal called Dr Phibes Rises Again. Saturday Night is like a 50's ballad, slow song. And finally their last released album, Devils Rain, has more of a hard rock shade.

A dear friend of mine commited suicide a few days ago. She loved this song, we always heard it during classes in our school. I'm a not big fan of the Misfits, but I listened them thanks to her. When we got graduated in 2015, sometimes I came here again to this song and remember her. It was like our song. But she is not here anymore... I'm going to miss you Gabba. You were too young. We were and are still young. I would have loved to see finishing your degree, doing what you loved working with nature, traveling (thing you never stop even this year). See you happy. Thank you for being in my life, you were a beautiful person and a beautiful friend. I miss you.

Yeah, just like Bruce Dickinson didn't try to be Paul Di'Anno when he became Iron Maiden's new frontman - and just as Blaze Bayley after Bruce's departure for a couple years. All three very genuine and original frontmans, respected by all Iron Maiden fans... It would be great if the Misfits' fanbase didn't have those silly divisions, it's so much better listening to all eras and being grateful for every member's contribution to the band :/

It's sad b/c there's an amazing drummer caught up in that hot mess Eddie Chupacabra and he's wasted on out of place time changes and drawn out rhythms that lose you about a minute in.

aw man this brings back memories from when i was 5...loved listening to this song, still do. once i was listening to this when it came on the radio on the car while my dad was in the store, my older brother was with me (he has a type of autism that makes him non-verbal, for context) and he started laughing and smiling, so i could tell he liked it too.
