@@themodelcarproject Hell yeah!!! Im really excited about this! Noplace really sells 1/64 accesories in the US,(not like eastern-based companies) so ive been thinking of getting 3D printer for myself. But seems like resin is the way to go? how much $ have you invested in the resin tools/machines?

@@superrad1659 I bought the anycubic photon s and the wash and cure set. So about 500€ in total. But I still try to figure out how to get high detailed prints to print almost every rim I like.

Very cool! I use my Photon for a bunch of diecast stuff on my channel. I love it. Glad to see yours working for you. What resin do you use? I use Esun Standard Black and have had pretty good results with it.

Thank you mate! I saw a video from you, printing some parts, they looked great! I only tried to print with the Anycubic Eco Resin white and with the Prima Creator Value in white as well. But if I print something, I can throw like the half of the objects on the plate away, because it doesn't really print well. Is the key maybe in the right support of the parts?

@@themodelcarproject for me it was about getting the leveling plate perfect which took a while to master. Also I cook the base layers for 60 seconds and the rest of the layers for 15. It's a little much but they still look good and while it takes longer, they stick to the plate better. What's going wrong with yours?

Ahh yes I see how you did the tires, I guess I should do that, but any way to do a tiny bit of camber modding to the tire? I'm thinking to just add a slope on my rims I designed in blender (I'm a noob at blender it was my first time and they look pretty good tbh), but thank you for the tire method. 👍

Yes exactly, before I've had the flex resin I was just designing the rim in a rounded shape, so that camber is possible.

Hi! Good job! How much resin is spent (in weight) to print each wheel? How long did it take to make this print?

Hey, thank you! :D Print time is about 1h-3h, depending on your settings and weight is like almost nothing, maybe 2 grams per wheel? Like 30 or even 50% is wasted through cleaning and scrap from supports

Really cool bro !! I have a lot of designs ready , even more complex than these, but I can't seem to perfect the settings for my photon s to print them properly and it also does not print properly the middle hole . Maybe I'll try again someday ..

Heap thanks mate! Yes, I have the same issues here, a lot of trouble finding the right support exposure time etc... The middle hole won't print perfectly anyways. I designed it a little bit smaller than it should and then I just increase the diameter of it with a hand drill (0.9mm) after printing.

Hey, huge fan of your work...and hope to see you do some newer videos, espeically like the last one you did, How to PAINT Hot Wheels? (Beginner Guide), that tutorial has been helping me a lot. I'm not even sure if you will see this, since this video has been up for some time now, but around 8:32 you're showing off the axle (which I'm assuming is brass), how did you go about making those 2 holes in the center of the axle - I've been trying and it's just not happening for me, is there a special tool that you used?

Glad to hear that you could gain same information on that tutorial. To your question on the brass pipe (0.9mm inner diameter): I used a dremel with an cutting blade to make these holes. You might need to choose one that is already a bit smaller from use, so that it wont damage other parts of the base plate. Alternatively you can make the hole before installing the tube. Also if you want some camber, I would recommend to you to use a cable sheathing (check out second video on how to stance). Hope that helps!

Black stuff for tires: shrinking tube. For downsizing you have to calculate the necessary ratio between 1/25 and 1/64. (Worst case Google search how to down scale sth)

Yes, mainly I use my "studio" for customizing Hot Wheels and model building in general. But you could do any other type of work there too, like repair something from your household for example.🙂👍

Remove the part before curing from the supports! And you dont need to make the vat clean after printing if nothing has errored And nice rims 😁

the Model Car Project you fill ur vat up like they say and after printing just stir if you see or feel some lose material if nothing is swimming in the vat just clean the plate make it dry put it back, close the lid and next time just stirr the resin and you ready... lasts month with closed lid

It depends. If you only need like 10 sets and don't have a 3D printer then it may be easier to buy the sets you want

Hello, what type is your printer to print this rim? Is photon 4k enough to catch the detail?

I use the photon S which has a 2k screen. Resolution doesnt matter that much, if you have for example a 6k screen, but it is super big, the DPI will be low and you will end up with bad resolution for small details (but you can print large models). The photon S has about 500DPI and I wouldnt go below that personally. The higher DPI the better you can print details on small prints

I currently use the anycubic photon s. Haven't sold anything yet, maybe I will put something online! Needs just some more time. You can check 3dcults out, there are quite a bit of 1 64 scale 3d models out there to buy

Yes, you can paint them, for example with Tamiya acrylic color and an airbrush

It's almost everything possible, it's only limited by imagination. I also bought some offroad wheels and going to build an offroad custom car for sure!🙂
