Ikaris is basically superman. Eyebeams, superstrength, flight, him and Ajax (the woman talking at the beginning) are the leaders of the eternals. She focuses on the spiritual side and him on the tactical side

I like Wendy's idea of the Eternals crossing paths with the Avengers out in public since they look like ordinary people. This was a fantastic trailer. Beautiful visuals and music. Gave just enough to wet my appetite for the main course come November.

If The Eternals succeeds, I hope that Disney, and Chloe Zhao makes a sequel to The Eternals. I won't mind having a crossover sequel event, with The Eternals, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Captain Marvel.

Knew they were gonna go with the comic logic of why the Eternals never interfered, told people not to make jokes and just google search the reason, so glad it's all like the comic books I grew up reading, Jack Kirby's vision come to life. Also fun fact the deviant holding Thena is KRO, leader of the deviants, he's also a lover of Thena and they have kids.

@@Travel__Spin Yaa their approach to the reveal was perfect, it's just the whiny MCU fans, all of them were like"it's so stupid, why didn't they interfere" did not think once that there must be a reason and there's this thing called comics, people be making intense theory as if comics don't exist and these are all original characters, it's so funny to see them theorize so deeply when the answer has been there for 40 years.

I love that they're barely revealing anything in these trailers. marvel is straight up spoiling Shang chi with the amount of stuff they're showing in the trailers and tv spots. we just got the final trailer for this and still barely know anything besides some minor details. love it.

3:28 yes ikari is the equivalent of superman from the eternals fun fact: he chose his name after the death of his son icarus (yes the icarus from the mythology) the eternals in the marvel universe are the equivalent of the gods and heroes of the ancient mythology of real life and the deviant the equivalent of the monsters of said mythologies.

This trailer is beautiful and fantastic. It gave me exactly what I wanted. I'm so looking forward to this movie. And you're sort of right about the comparison with Ikaris (Richard Madden) and Superman. Coming from Marvel Fandom, Ikaris's powers include Speed, Durability, Energy Projection, He's a bit of teleporter, a real good fighter... essentially, he's one of the most powerful Eternals in existence.

im not really familiar with the Eternals lore all that much... but i might have heard (possibly wrongly) recently that in the comics, the Earth is incubating a Celestial - and it seems like this movie might be about the Eternals trying to stop it from waking up. Anyway - i could be very wrong of course.

No infinity stones are involved. I think that the orb that we see enter Ajak is how they reincarnate. It's their consciousness.

Sersi doing the petal transformation kind of thing, since her distinct power in the comics is transfiguration (mostly objects) or particularly atomic/molecular or matter manipulation, is so amazing to me finally seeing it in this live-action form. Also, I think that wasn't the mind stone... I might be wrong but it's probably just some other thing related to the Eternals and kind of related with how Ajak is their "leader" with that "yellow gem" coming at her.

Not gonna lie; I never expected this trailer to come out so soon, especially since Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings officially hasn't come out yet. Having seen the trailer though, I am very impressed and can't wait to see this film (along with Shang-Chi obviously). To be honest, I never heard of the Eternals. I do know - and I think what Wendy was referring to as well - is that Sersi was a member of the Avengers back in the 90's at some point and that she was indeed an Eternal, but nothing much else. But the characters look interesting; I might consider pick up some of the comics myself soon. Great reaction as always, guys! I already mentioned this on Wendy's instagram page, but I truly hope you guys enjoyed Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings at the world premiere yesterday. Hey Wendy and Dustin. You guys are among the very best, of those I've seen, couples for movie/TV reviews. You generally follow the plot better than most of the others. The one disadvantage is that your audio just isn't very good. Every time one of your videos comes on I'm reaching for the volume button to turn it up. I think investing in a better microphone would be a good move because you two are good at this and very enjoyable to watch, but sometimes I turn you off because I just can't hear you using the same speakers that most of the other channels sound fine with. Just wanted to let you know. Hope you are well.

No stones! They are ALL superman and women! Thay all have the same powers but each one specializes in a SPECIFIC ability eg: phastos engineer. Gilgamesh the strongest. Athena weapon manipulation. Makari the fastest. Sersi best molecular manipulation. Sprite mind control ikari- icarus best all rounder. (Good at EVERYTHING) and so on!

The Eternals got cancelled early and got wrapped up in Thor's comics. I imagine they will be even more fleshed out in the movie than the comics. Kirby went ahead and did the story he wanted with The New Gods and Darkseid in DC.

Dustin my bruh, I think for this phase 4 we're already past the infinity stones, at least for them new really powerful being. Like we start with Wanda where it's revealed that she's actually already a really powerful witch and the stone power is like just a catalyst of sort. And in LOKI where they just used it for paperweight?! 😂 Seems like Marvel's leveling up their Universe where there's always someone or something more powerful than the current one.

Looks like they're doing the Earth X/S.H.I.E.L.D. story wherein (SPOILERS!??) There's a Celestial inside the Earth's core and it uses the planet like an egg- all that energy being returned by the Blip has awakened the baby Celestial and in seven days it will emerge- destroying Earth in the process! The Eternals will be split between loyalty to the Celestials and love for the humans.
