This is the era of Pantera that makes me sad. Phil was in severe pain and took pain killers then moved to Heroin. When he had a good night, they had a great night. But lots of the time Phil was f&cked up n sitting down at shows. Booze ,pills and dope. Makes me sad. The recent Phil.is great, slowly getting his voice back and better. The kid will make his return....trust that.

makes me sad too....followed Pantera from beginning and had to watch LIVE (went to every live show they had in my area) and the toll it took on him. His entry into DOWN made me have hope for him. I always pray for Phil A. The losses he has had are immeasurable :(

I'd say he's already made as much of a return as he can with his black metal and grind/sludge stuff, considering that's all he really has the voice or the interest for these days. He sounds great on the most recent scour ep.

@@gabeackerman4964 I heard one track wehn it was released but you just reminded me to have another listen, he's still got some versatility but struggles to do half of Pantera's early stuff - and I'm fine with that because I prefer more extreme music

Heroin was like the evolution stone that allowed Phil to reach his final demonic form Also it was absurd to see someone dancing to Phil screaming his lungs out over a sludgy beat at the end... in a good way :)
