It breaks my heart when she sings Last Dance, cause it would be her last big televised concert. Fortunately she left us with this great performance that will live on forever

This was in 1995. She said disco was coming back so she thought she sang it to prepare her fans for her first English album. Since she always had albums in Spanish

To this day I can't accept that she's gone. It just doesn't make sense. And it's hard not to think about what could have been. She was taken down while she was on her way to the top. I miss her so much. Thank you for doing these videos and helping us keep her legacy going. I can't wait to see you react to more!

She was and still so popular in the Polynesian community as well. Every time I go back to the pacific islands they be playing her music and they also converted her songs into their languages which is how big she is. She was is icon.

That's wild to think she had that much of an impact, I didn't know she reached that far! in fact her famous English song Dreaming of You was supposed to be sung and recorded by the Jets who are from the island of Tonga but they turned it down.

@@michael85225 Yeah, she’s still is popular in Samoa and Tonga even their own current generation knows her well.. Still to this day they play her music in their clubs and bars with a pinch of their own mixed to it. It’s always fun to experience. Reggae country pop and and all of that in the mix back in the islands it’s fun to go back and experience..

watching your reaction and how happy and great moves and your totally enjoying her performance just makes her death so much more tragic. She was just coming into superstardom...just got married so young to be cut down before she was getting started. She brought so much joy with her. May God keep her close.

She always sung r&b, pop, etc in her concerts from the time she started performing. This isn't the first time she did this. This is one of three concerts she did in the Houston Astrodome and broke attendance records every year. She just enjoyed Disco and chose to sing it in this concert. That's why she made this outfit. She also covered a lot of different artists too , from Michael to Janet , New Edition, C&C Music Factory , Jody Watley, etc , etc, etc

This was 4 weeks before she was shot in the back , she was only 23 yrs old, she was getting ready to release her english record she was murdered before she got to see that dream come true. She was taken way to soon. She was a big Donna Summer fan.

The thing is I was there during the originals of these songs and when SELENA covered it at her '95 Houston Concert. Unfortunately she passed away shortly afterwards. SELENA definitely made these classics more iconic in my opinion. Rip to both her and Don Shelton the backup singer and dancer. Btw, love your intro. I always get soooo excited to see this on people's channel... and I'm super hype... but by the time we get to the last song (my fav of the medley) I'm devastated shes gone and just sit in silence. Her family said "if you opened her heart with a key you would just find sunshine" such a loss

Such a bittersweet story. Selena was just about to break into the English market. She was actually working on it around the time of this concert. I believe Selena chose to sing this Medley because it was her way of saying us hispanics are here..... A month after this performance she was mudered. Can you please react to Selena La Bamba? They'll never be a female talent with so many wonderful traits wrapped in one individual. There may be slightly better voices such as Karen Carpenter and Whitney Houston; but they did not have the pure, raw, physical feminine attraction draw and dance capabilities as Selena. She felt her songs so completely, she was able to convey it instantly, to her audience. A unique treasure that was tragically taken from all of us. RIP, Selena.
