Aretha Apia girl this movie was not made with the intention to spread awareness about cancer. Ever since fault in our starts Hollywood saw how a cancer love story makes money and keeps making movies just like it. This movie is made for money. And when you think about all the things that can kill a human is cancer the one that needs awareness? Everyone knows cancer exists. There isn’t really a need to say that people are ignorant about it cause everyone knows it’s a thing.

A walk to remeber came out long before fault in our stars. Also, how do you know the intent of the movie? Were you a producer? Were you on the creative team? Marketing? No? Ok then, sit down and let people see what cancer does to people. It might be Hollywood cancer but the emotions it makes people feel are the emotions families go through every day when their loved one is dying.

Brittany DeLong it’s funny that you think this movie was made for awareness and not profit. If this movie subject was not going to make profit then it wouldn’t be made. The goal isn’t to show people about cancer, but make money off of it.

@@mayaholt4574 Of course they are making money! Dont confuse raising awareness with raising money. Something as simple as wear a pink ribbon is enough to raise awareness. A single Hollywood star also donates more money to charities than you probably make in an entire year.

It's too early to tell if the character of Skye is going to be a MPDG or not. The trailer gives me hope that the character is well-written and doesn't exist solely to help the main character to change, and actually has a backstory, but we'll see :) As for 500 Days of Summer, it has been contradicted on numerous occasions that the character of Summer was not a MPDG, but just the male protagonist's limited and blinded view of her.
