Fran prepares to meet her long-term pen pal Lenny.
From Season 3 Episode 1, 'Pen Pal'. After many years of exchanging letters, Fran's pen pal Lenny asks to meet her. Fran is worried because over the past years she has exaggerated about her life and she's concerned that Lenny won't like the real her. Maxwell encourages her to attend the date, and offers to wait with her. Meanwhile, C.C. attempts to seduce Mr. Sheffield while they are working late, she is unaware that she is seducing Niles and not Mr. Sheffield!

Her hair in these episodes of season 3 is my favorite. The middle part and the tease hair in the back, she looks gorgeous.

I think this was the season she looked best. She usually looked better with her real hair than with the wigs that dominated the fourth and fifth seasons.

Fun fact, in the french version of the episode, her pen pal, Lenny, is actually a prisoner who writes letters to Fran from a prison and who has just come out to see her ! I admit, I never understood why the French adaptation changed so many details

So insanely jealous from her first date after being hired the one with the soap star! And when she dates the undertaker 😮 When do you think they began to start falling in love ? I think for Fran it was episode 1x18 Sunday in the Park with Fran when Mr Sheffield kisses her for the first time because she gave an amazing review of his show saving his career! I think for Mr. Sheffield it was 2x15 Kindervelt Days when he shows up at her camp reunion and rescues her from embarrassment by pretending to be her man and they dance for the first time! What are your thoughts?

@@Kubulek17 ....extensions or wigs. Joan Collins said without wigs she'd have little hair left due to all the rolling, brushing, combing out, drying, etc. done numerous times during a shoot.

they cut out the third lie Fran told her pen pal, where she's an astronaut in space. She's applying lipstick but loses her grip and it floats away, then she says "Houston, we have a problem." They also cut out the punchline of the Russian Tea Room scene at the end, where she pantomimes some gestures and realizes the "broad" is actually her in a mirror. Why would you cut those things, they must equal less than a minute put together!

I like these earlier seasons of the Nanny better when she was dating a different guy each episode, made for a "fresh" storyline each week. I didn't like it in the later seasons when her engagement/marriage with Mr. Sheffield came to be THE main, one and only plot each episode, like a soap opera lol.

Can someone explain how come for the past several months The Nanny is not on TV anywhere or streaming anymore? How am I the only one that has noticed that? It's not even in Fran Drescher's bio anymore if you search her name on the TV. The Nanny has actually been deleted from her bio list. The Nanny is not on Roku, she's not on Vizio, Sling, Amazon, CBS, Logo, Sony, nowhere, it's totally gone! I'm thinking some sort of copyright thing or legal thing going on?

@@susanpeterson7570 That seems the only place it has ended up. That's not even cable or streaming. It's old school TV You gotta get an antenna for it or see if it's in your area. I'm pretty sure you googled that to about CoziTV because that's not accurate information on Google either. Cozi is NOT on RokuTV unless I think you get some kinda antenna too? The show is still gone from everywhere else except allegedly CoziTV that's a channel that very few people have or can find.

Back-combing and lots of volumizing with a dryer.

I have naturally big hair and don't care to straighten it. If you want volume, dry with a diffuser and your head upside down, scrunching every now and then and a bit of teasing ( back combing) Don't forget the volumizing mousse.
