I have a similar product that i've used for years. I call it a shirt. Anyway, when you sweat it gets wet. A lot of times you can see how much you sweat based on the color shirt you wear.

Imagine the waste generated by what is essentially a sport advertisement gimmick: the single use patches (non recyclable) + the digital pollution linked to the app, the data and the storage of both. Gatorade could add a bit of extra on the cost for purchasing the patch but they could include some double sided adhesive strips or maybe some elastic band to fit over your arm to make it reusable especially for $25
