I don't believe the spool gun attachment works with this model. I did that exact research for this because of possible aluminum.

I've been running mine off a Wen dual fuel 4750w. It's slightly under powered, but works fine for mig. I've been using it mostly on 1/8 and 3/16. No issues

I'm going to be doing a follow-up video soon, but so far, it's fantastic, I have not found the limits of it and several friends who are more experienced at welding than I am, have been impressed by what it can do.

@@TheNateTake Great!! I've had several projects that I've wanted to do but can't do in wood, so I decided to try my hand at welding. Almost picked up one of the HB units, but decided on this Yes welder instead. It'll come in next week. I've been watching KZfaq videos of this welder and Mig Flux welding in general for tutorials. The last time I welded anything was in high school shop class with acetylene. That was 50yrs ago. 😳 Looking forward to playing with this thing.

@TheNateTake I have been in the automotive field a long time. I only own an old AC/DC ARC welder made by lincoln and Miller welders . My newest welder is the multimatic 220 . I preferred these as I can get parts for them if they should break, which is rare for them to break on the inside . I will point out here that these are high-end machines really not meant for the novice unless you are serious about becoming a welder . Another lower cost machine would be a CK WORLDWIDE THEN An AHP multi processor ,these welders come complete .

For 200 bucks.... you can make 5x in one day on a decent job. So I'd day it's worth
