Our time at Machu Picchu has come to an end. After a long train ride back to Cusco, we spend a couple of days exploring the narrow streets. The San Blas neighborhood where our hotel was located was a perfect home base.

We're so glad we stayed a few extra days in the Incan capital...it was great exploring all the shops and restaurants!

Hot water bottles at the end of your bed for turndown service sounds amazing. Every hotel should do that :) I'm not much of a vegan eater but the vegan ravioli looked so good. Alpaca steak!? I wouldn't be able to do it but I get it - you gotta try it while you're there. I'm staying where you guys stayed at when I visit Cusco for sure.

Definitely! It’s a cool little town...I wish we could have tried that new restaurant (Mil) that had just opened, but we didn’t have time. Next time!

The cloud time lapse at the beginning was amazing! That beautiful train was not first class? :O Wow, they set the bar high! Thank you for sharing your adventures in Cusco. I love all the architecture. Ooh, I'm so glad you enjoyed some vegan food! I would love to eat there.

Your video brought back so many beautiful memories for me. I spent some time in Cusco and I always remember dearly of it. I stayed in San Blas as well, up the hill. You found some pretty cool restaurants, especially the Marcelo. Have you been to the local market as well? It was my favorite place for local food such as lomo saltado.

Damn! Peru is one of my dream destinations. Are there many tourists all the time like this? Because then it is going to turn into a nightmare for me. I loved the way you have shot the entire video. The train ride reminded me of this train ride called TranzAlpine that I took in New Zealand. :)

Amazing Timelapse to start!! Woah that looks so busy!! Very intuitive train design with those huge sweeping windows allowing you to take in all the views!!! Your b roll captures are awesome as well!

Love the way you filmed and edited this. And makes me want to drop everything to visit! The places you went look like the definition of charming. Also really appreciate the voiceover pieces as it gives a very professional almost documentary feel to it. Very very well done. Curious what audio equipment to capture that audio. Thanks for sharing guys. You captured the essence for sure ;) dan

Thanks for the kinds words Dan! For the voiceover we're using an Audio-Technica dynamic microphone straight into FCPX. It seems to do a pretty good job compared to some other mics we've tested with. Thanks for watching!

I fell asleep on the train ride back from Mach Piccho. Cusco is so cute, wasn't a fan of all the steep climbs though. I didn't try alpaca while there, although I did have cuy. What did you think of it?
