Retrogaming, also known as classic gaming and old school gaming, is the playing or collecting of older personal computer, console, and arcade video games in contemporary times. Usually retrogaming is based upon systems that are obsolete or discontinued.
Retrogaming has three main activities; vintage retrogaming, retrogaming emulation, and ported retrogaming. Vintage retrogaming includes games that are played on the original hardware. Emulation involves newer systems simulating old gaming systems, while ported retrogaming allows games to be played on modern hardware via ports or compilations. Additionally, the term could apply to a newer game, but with features similar to those of older games, such as an "retro RPG" which features turn-based combat and an isometric camera perspective.
Participants in the hobby are sometimes known as retrogamers in the United Kingdom, while the terms "classic gamers" or "old school gamers" are more prevalent in the United States. Similarly, the games are known as retrogames, classic games, or old school games.[1]
Retrogaming has existed since the early years of the video game industry, but was popularized with the popularity of the Internet and emulation technology.[2] It is argued that the main reasons players are drawn to retrogames are nostalgia for different eras,[3] the idea that older games are more innovative and original,[3] and the simplicity of the games that requires less hours of gameplay.
Retrogaming and retrocomputing have been described as preservation activity and as aspects of the remix culture.

To everyone complaining that they only bought switch games and not any of the sealed retro stuff, this guy obvious knows what they are worth and wasn’t going to give a $500 sealed game away for cheap. They didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. They aren’t millionaires. So they bought things they like and can afford. Great episode btw. Can’t wait for the next

All the times as a kid I always wanted a certain game or console and Bobby has them! The best part is this is in SoCal! It's absolutely mind blowing that a collection/horde/whatever you want to call it exists. I've always speculated there are probably warehouses full of unsold games, and there you guys are, in one. I don't know what I'd do in your shoes. Probably freak out just as much as you guys did, if not more. Love it. I've been excited to see this episode, and it didn't disappoint!

This place is literally in my backyard, in the shadow of the ‘Big A’. I’ve lived my whole life in Orange County, I’ve been a hardcore gamer since my teens with the Atari VCS. How does this place exist without me knowing about it until know?! Probably the best Retro video I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait till part 2.

We finally got a slap. I think the biggest thing I take out of a video like this is that its nice to know that decades upon decades of games are still out there to be found and its nice blast from the past to see games from different era's still have the luxury of not being taken out to be played. Even if the retro video game market crashes there is still a ton of value in the warehouse alone because having so many sealed games will still have the novelty factor of people who want them especially if a gamer has a particular attachment to the game.

Still waiting for LUNAR 3. Really consider Silver Star Story and Eternal Blue two of the best, if not the best, RPG games of all times.. The stories to both games is still better than anything I've played

How the hell did I miss this episode...? this is absolutely insane. The sealed Lunars! I saw a sealed Pocky and Rocky... So bad ass. That was absolutely nuts. You guys definitely deserved to see this first.

Wow, this was way too much to take. The anxiety level of the guys were so high that Gabbo needed to sing between takes and they can't stop hugging or touching each other in a lovable way. ♥♥♥♥♥... Not even the "Brown" card works this time to control Ricky's addiction and Riff goofiness dancing. ☺

Not all games were originally factory sealed so when they are all sealed I am suspicious. Also most magazines were not sealed.

ojideagu I’m with you on the sealed games. Some seemed too good to be true. The magazines however are sealed to prevent from dust collecting. I would assume this warehouse has airflow to keep everything cool.

Wow that is amazing. It's not the guys collection though it's a business warehouse. Kind of makes me mad that Retro games are so expensive still, knowing just how many games are still around and sealed. Amazing episode guys, loved it... and those test machines were pretty dam cool ;)
