Once you 'Get' Queen...They become part of your soul and mental wallpaper. Although now in this 21st century there is so much mystique surrounding Queen, and particularly Freddie's legendary status...We who were privileged to see Queen perform live, knew instinctively that we were witnessing inimitable greatness. I was so very fortunate to attend several of their concerts in different parts of the world in the mid 80's...This band were the perfect storm, and Freddie was the God with pockets full of fairy dust, who ensured each and every ticket holder experienced the absolute time of their lives. Dear Freddie showed us inside his heart...and we will love him forever for it.

Freddie Mercury was so exceptional ... as a man, musician, song writer, singer, front man, entertainer, sex symbol and superstar he was truely unique .. his portfolio of music is unbelievable .. But what really does my head in is his pronunciation, the energy, the softness, the anger, the love, passion, belief behind the lyrics, the way he phrases every word .. man he epitomises the words .. rock legend .. Eoooooo

Welcome to Queen! I love this performance, it is so good and the whole band is spot on. Roger is killing it on the vocals while never missing a beat on the drums. You also should listen to the studio version of this song because the harmonies are much more present there. Had you listened to the studio version first, I still would have told you to also listen to this one, so you haven't lost any ground in listening to this one first. This live performance does give you a good idea of Freddie's dynamic vocal skills and his command of the audience, also you get to feel the energy that this band always delivers at their performances. You have heard Queen songs before, you just didn't know who it was. "We Are The Champions," We Will Rock You," "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Another One Bites The Dust" Thank you for your reaction.

You can choose any of them you never won’t be disappointed. I hope you will stay with us for a long Queen journey. Thanks for another great reaction... I think I've just found my favorite YTube reactor!! Queen music is so timeless and relevant today as it was 50 years ago... and will be a hundred years from now... Maybe you need to listen to "Play the Game", another classic song of love... or even "Nevermore", a very short but poignant song they never sang live, I don't think... I am sure you would enjoy it, or the other very classic masterpiece of Queen, "Love of My Life"... many versions out there, from Rio to Montreal to Hungary to London Wembley, all are good but you should listen to the studio version first, Brian May learned to play the harp for Freddie, absolutely amazing... also, this song "Somebody to Love" studio version is also a classic of harmonies you simply must experience.... Blessings.

🤗 Not bad for a dude named Farouk from 🥰Zanzibar! 🥺 Hardest thing was seeing my 1st QUEEN show 😱 without Ready Freddie! Adam Lambert (American Idol) sings with Queen, who Headlined the NYC Global Citizen Festival in Central Park! 😭 One of Freddie's favorite spots with the Dakota Bldg in the background where John (RIP) & Yoko raised Sean. 😂 And the ABC Soap Opera Studios were across the Street from 🤭 Lincoln Center! 😃 Spotting Susan Lucci (Erica Kane, All My Children) on her way to work or Erika Slezack (Vicky, One Life To Live) was not unusual. 🤩 Freddie is truly missed by us all and we thank you (and new fans like you) for keeping his memory alive a nd still in our heart! xox 🥰🐰

Great reaction! You've just discovered the legendary Freddie Mercury, lead singer of what just may be the greatest band of all time (and he's often cited as the best male vocalist of all time, though of course that's a matter of opinion). Each one of them - Brian May on guitar (and sometimes keyboard/vocals), Roger Taylor on drums (and sometimes vocals - he and Brian both have their own songs!), and John Deacon on bass (though he could play every instrument) are incredible talents. Even more exceptionally, they're all wonderful people. Sadly, Freddie passed at the age of 45 from AIDS in 1991. Exactly ten years after this performance. Gone way too soon, but not before leaving a legendary impact. Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Freddie's tribute to Elvis, who'd recently passed), I Want to Break Free, You're My Best Friend, I Want It All, Fat Bottomed Girls... I'm sure you've heard at least a few of these hits, but they have a huge catalog that spans 15 studio albums and 21 years together. Check out their set at Live Aid, which was part of a much larger music festival for charity. Lots of artists performed - including Led Zeppelin, Madonna, Elton John, etc. - but Queen STOLE the show. It's been voted as the best rock performance of all time, even though it was only a 20-minute set! :)

Hi! Just a suggestion about YT copyrights and Queen/Freddie Mercury videos: In the (quite avid) Queen fandom, there are actually quite a few NON-official channels of Queen content that are owned/managed by private individuals, so NO COPYRIGHTS. The videos on these channels are actually REMASTERED to BETTER HD video quality than the originals on the official channel.

Brian wanted his guitar to sing - - so he built it himself - with his father - when he was about 17 years old. No other guitarist can make their guitar sing like that - - and Brian never was taught playing the guitar - so I think he has his own way of playing - others have tried to copy it - without any luck. you can search for KZfaq video's about "The Red Special" where Brian talks about it - - yes it is the name for the 'old lady' - Brian's guitar. Melody was essential to the group - and no one played to shine for themselves - to show off - they all played to serve the melody - - as Roger said - - nobody want's to listen to drum solo's so they go out for a hot dog - - that is not inspiring. - But listen how they all gave it all - and especially Roger on the drums - and his high falsetto at the same time - hard work!! - You should know that Queen never really stopped existing - - Freddie died in 1991 - and John, Brian and Roger hosted a tribute concert in 1992 with a lot of the most prolific artists - not one would be able to sing the songs like Freddie - so there were many musicians. Look it out. The 3 members made an album with songs Freddie left - - for them to finish - - . John has quit music - but Brian and Roger have solo carriers and they still play as Queen with a bass player a keyboard player an extra drummer - - several years ago that was Roger's son Rufus - - . They have had a lead singer called Paul Rodgers - and for the last 10+ years they have toured with Adam Lambert as lead singer. He is nothing like Freddie but he is a singer - second to none - and has a great voice. He has a solo carrier but once a year - apart from the lock down - he has toured the world with them - and filled arena's just as back in the day. A great example of his singing a Queen song is from the Isle of Wight Festival 2016 - singing "Who wants to live forever"? dedicated to the victims of a shooting in a gay bar the night before - as a gay man it was very special for him to sing that evening - - Freddie was gay as well. I'm looking forward to more reactions.

Dr. Brian May (now SIR Brian May): Lead guitar/back up vocals/piano sometimes. Dr of Astrophysics. Studied reflected light from interplanetary dust and the velocity of dust in the plane of the Solar System. Has worked with NASA. Made his guitar with his father when he was around 16/17. Was poor so used things around the house like a piece of a fireplace for the neck/mother’s buttons/knitting needle etc. It's called "The Red Special" Still plays it to this day. Roger Taylor: Drums/Amazing back up vocals. Has a BS in biology. Still rocking with Brian to this day. John Deacon: Bass guitar. Degree in Electronics. Inverter of the Deacy amp (which Brian uses to this day) Sadly John had a bit of a breakdown after Freddie's death and only performed with the rest of the band a 3 times after. He is, these days, only involved in the financial side through his attorney. He's been pretty much a recluse. And of course Freddie: Degree in Graphic design. Google "best rock front man of all time" I can save you the trouble. Most places the #1 answer is Freddie. Every member has written hit songs. All but John had singing talent where they could have had their own bands and been a success. Put them all together and you have QUEEN! (also all but John have done solo albums) Remember. NO auto tune. No tricks. Pure talent! You can't put Queen in a box as far as genre. There is no box! Strongly suggest a ballad from very early Queen (one of my fav's of theirs) White Queen (A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975) Just a fun song is the official version of "One Vision" An often forgotten song. There is also a "Making of one vision" that is also fun.

Led Zeppelin is excellent but not better than Queen. Robert Plant is no way a better singer than Freddy Mercury it's no debate at all. Just like you said with today's technology people make there voice sound excellent. In Queens time there was no Auto Tune.. Freddy's voice was his own pure talent. No auto tune nothing just PURE TALENT HIS OWN VOICE. Even the entire band could sing Roger Taylor the drummer, Brain May on guitar, Brain Deacon on bass they all had hit songs and wrote their own songs. Look it up it's completly true. There's no other band that every member had hit songs.
