So, my question is with the existence of proof of stake, then who will become a miner? The answer is no one, I mean as a miner you won't get anything from it. Now, no one becomes a miner for it. So, how does decentralization work now? When no one wants to decentralize it, it is not decentralized. When it is not decentralized, someone will try to monopolize and take control of it.

Thank you for this tutorial. Question: what would make a shard block “malicious” ? Is that in reference to some kind of external tampering to the system? Or does a block naturally become malicious due to some kind of mutation?

ugh 😩 and this is where I am lost. proof of work makes sense as how that's counted as currency. there is actual wattage of power being used to calculate something. but proof of stake goes ooof over my head right now. maybe I just need to sleep on it and watch this specific video again
