Queenstown boat lounch is a joke, very limited parking in a dirt, single short ramp, just shame for city of Niagara.

Just wondering why Mark did not use a net. If the goal is catch and release a healthy fish, why man handle them into the boat. New Flyfisher is an iconic show that sets the bar for those of us learning to fly fish. Just seems like bad form.

Hi Brian, Thanks for your message. I chose not to use a net because the weather was freezing. I felt that handling the fish by hand was the fastest way to get them unbuttoned and returned back to the water. As you can see, Quick release.

@@newflyfisherconfused also. Wouldn’t getting your hands and sleeves wet grabbing the fish under the water be a lot colder than netting and lifting it to the surface to handle? Maybe I’m not seeing the logic. No biggie tho.

Bill is a great teacher. I was taught not to use gloves when releasing fish. Are those gloves safe for the fish?

Good question. We usually don't use gloves to handle trout and don't recommend them. However, this show was created a few years ago when using tailing gloves was still endorsed. Thanks for feedback

@@petermartyniuk6781 This video is bobber fishing with a spey rod out of a boat for fish that are taking zero runs, zero jumps, getting reeled straight into the boat. You guys are gonna fish for what is around you, I get it - But this is nothing like steelhead fishing on the west coast. Not the same fish at all.
