Karnataka MLC Suraj Revanna, brother of former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna, has been accused of sexually assaulting a man. This case brings to light significant legal concerns as Section 377 of the IPC, which provides protection against sexual assault for men, transgender individuals, and animals, has been omitted in the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) effective July 1. The omission of Section 377 leaves a legal vacuum, raising questions about how future cases will be handled and the implications for victims' rights and protections.

No! They did crime against women so they won’t be spared. Crime against men and animals would be spared unfortunately. Well I anyways don’t expect anything from judiciary too, they only give punishment like write an essay 🙄🙄

@@samikshagoyal7707but atleast judiciary has laws under 377 for men crimes . Here any 1 is problematic is BJP who is bringing BNS and changing entire judicial proceedings for nonsense.

@@gyansahu2894 The bill has been passed and even SC didn’t make any suo motu statement. Why is it that it is receiving approvals from experts and few chinese funded media outlets are stating just strange facts? The actual need of the hour is judicial reforms. Period! We gotta end with the collegium system. Chandrachud is already grooming his son to be the next CJI. Why so? Why can’t judges be selected through merit? They have confidence as ppl in this country treat SC as God and they know they won’t be questioned anytime. If there are issues with legislature and executive, judiciary handles em. But who’s gonna take care of judiciary filled with nepo ppl?

No, he will be tried under IPC. On offences committed before 1st July, IPC will be implemented.

This is perhaps the first video article from TNM that I consider truly close to journalistic - factual and almost complete. Except that there is no mention of anyone protesting about this issue.
