Renegade Nell is Disney Plus' newest fantasy series. Set in England in 1705, Nell (Louisa Harland) is framed for murder and has to go on the run, becoming the most notorious outlaw in the country. Luckily for her she is joined by Billy Blind (Nick Mohammed), a magical spirit who helps her.
TNM's Clodagh Griffin sat down with Louisa and Nick to chat about female representation in action shows, if Derry or Cockney accents are easier to do and how they never actually met during filming (wild right!!!).

Louisa, and the entire cast, were amazing in this show. Louisa as Orla in Derry Girls was probably my favorite character.

Louisa is an amazing actress. The show is quite enjoyable. Mix of dark fantasy plus outlaw humor ala Robin Hood.

Excellent show! Love watching Nelly kick ass!!! Wonderful actor. Great fight scenes, funny with a great cast, and story.

Series is great, acting is great, story is great, only complaint is the SOUND BALANCE IN THIS INTERVIEW. Please never go 100% left or 100% right with anything.

Not in the UK or Ireland It's very very different but even in america I would imagine if a role like this came up, in 2 years of applying for auditions, it would be difficult just to get the role

what an odd comment. sorry to be the one to bust your bubble but women are at at the heart of this show. that's what it talks about, and the perspective from which it's written is one of a woman who likes to write about them andd does it really well. what's the problem with that? as for "one's people", i'm a queer woman, I need my people to be everywhere, because well, we are everywhere

@@lexshizumdot2115 first part of your reply i agree with everything you said, women are at the heart of the show, and yes its written by a woman who does it really well, there is no problem with that. It is as i said a really good show, thats all that matters to me, why can't it just be about that?. but re 'ones people' i dont need mine to be everywhere because were not, like, less than 10% of the uk population has a disability, i'm literally the only disabled person everyone i know knows, i don't even know many others and i like it like that. i have no need to be a member of some disability club because im about more than the wheelchair im sitting in. i just think art should mirror life. its like the thing at work, you have to have a certain amount of people from minority groups in your employment, its bull, i dont want to be employed just because i'm disabled, i want to be employed because im the best for the job.

This is era is all about “ Give a chance to women” I don’t mind women leading in any roles. But I hate it when they don’t deserve it. Look at the video “ a woman and an Asian man. It’s obvious they are advertising minorities” Cinema is dead!!

Yes, that's an era about "what if we stopped making those numb and boring stories that revolve only around totally uninteresting men". turns out this era is quite good, and so fun.
