@@bossmoderhino6109you’ll almost never be allowed on track with a helmet mounted camera because it could interfere with the helmets function (since it wasn’t designed to have a big dingus camera on the chin when it was made) in a crash. Every track day I’ve been to they’ve said no helmet mounted cameras in the riders meeting. I suspect because these guys are pros they’re allowed to film with helmet cams on open track laps but in a race where crashes are likely no way unless the camera is integrated into the helmet design that’s why we’ve got shoulder cam in MotoGP much easier to pop that in without interfering with the suit’s function.

For those wondering...Nicolo Canepa (from Wikipedia) He raced in MotoGP full-time for Pramac Ducati in 2009 with little success, and made an uncompetitive start in Moto2. He moved back to the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup in 2011, and after a season in the Superbike World Championship in 2012, returned to Superstock 1000 in 2013 and became runner up behind Sylvain Barrier. Canepa moved in 2016 to the World Endurance Championship riding the Factory GMT94 Yamaha R1. He ended the season in second place. In 2017 Canepa won the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC). He is the first Italian in history to win an Endurance World Championship. He is also the Yamaha Superbike Factory Team test rider and replacement rider. He is also coaching Alex Lowes and Michael Van Der Mark during the Superbike World Championship.

Also, so cool to see: 1) how much later toprak brakes; 2) how toprak takes a much more "V" shaped line through a lot of the corner...late braking into the apex, on the power - get the bike as vertical as possible, straight shot out of the corner. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

@@elifelif777 It's still a stock bike, the R1M, definitely not a race bike. If I may elaborate...it has absolutely nothing to do with a WSBK-spec bike for example. There was a WSBK test at Portimao this year, and lot of the MotoGP riders were there testing on stock bikes with slicks on, and they were around 4 seconds off the pace of the best factory WSBK bikes. I know that the idea that you can buy " almost " the same bike that the top professional riders race in WSBK is a cool-sounding one, but in reality there is almost not a single screw on the WSBK bike from the stock bike.
