I just realized something about a few months ago with this show. Granddad and Riley are literally the same person just born in different generations. Hence why they agree on the most stuff yet butt heads the most on everything🤣🤣 But no cap, as a kid, hearing the teacher say “Now, how is a n-ga gonna borrow a fry? *N-ga is you gonna give it back?!* “ absolutely destroyed me and still does🤣

In my opinion this is an important episode of Boondocks, because it addressing the faux behavior of select political pundits who only seek to profit from said instances. The wheel of fortune episode of south park which brings up by the end Stan's lack of understanding of the nature of the n word. Is something that just is but can also still be acknowledged. And the "so say it" episode of The Good Fight, which calls out the ironic bitching & moaning of people who use "freedom of speech" as an argument, when that is what they are trying to police of others so they cant be judged for what they say. Are all some of the best examples of conversation and satire on the discourse.

I'm Black, and I say that teacher is neither racist or ignorant. When he said that's how he was trained, he didn't mean trained by the professional school system. He meant trained by the kids. If that word is so bad, then no one should use it. I do believe he was genuinely trying to connect with the Black kids, who use that word like dude, or bro. And I think anyone who says he can't use it, because he's white, then they're the real racists to me, because you're treating him different, because of his skin tone. Either kill off the word, or everyone can say it like dude, or gurl, or son. It seems like the people who want the end racism, are the ones actually dividing people, in ways like this. I genuinely feel sorry for him, because he was right, and his parody version made that more clear. Same with the car scene in the movie White Chicks. The word nigga needs to stop being special. I'm Black, and I don't use that word. Does that make me White? Am I White for trying to improve my life? Which blew my mind when I heard that people in Black and Latin communities, say to their own kind, "are you trying to be White?", just for taking education, jobs, job raises, and promotions seriously. It's not White, to better yourself. You want to talk about the "most successful race" in the country, it's Asians. Low crime, high academics, and I think financially greater on average. I think outside of a p0rn search, or looking for specific people, or things a doctor should know, other then these situations, race should be irrelevant. I believe people need to stop making a big deal, about what breed of human they are. Or orientation, or gender. What matters are their beliefs, goals, how hard they'll fight for them, and their merit, as in what can they do, and how well can they do it.

@darryljack6612

It's a lot more nuanced than just Huey side vs Riley side. Especially because both don't really have "a side". Riley doesn't believe in what he is saying and is just trying to get money. And while Huey does have many stances in regard to word. But his role in this episode is more passive and is about opening discussion with his question. Huey is more so just anti grift here.

Am black. completely agree with that teacher. and the "you don't need to understand it, just don't say it" attitude is a peak tool of fascism when it's "you don't need to understand [insert detrimental rhetoric] just follow what you've been told" if you can't make it understandable then you might just not have a very strong point.

"I am black and I" followed by the worst take in the world. The whole point of the modernized n word stems from the fact that it was a word used to dehumanize and refer to african americans so much through out their history in America that it soon began to be eventually adopted into their culture. Hence, its meaning became similar to a term of endearment amongst their culture(keyword amongst their culture) , but everyone knows the roots of the word. Hence, it's no shocker that some black people feel offended when a white person calls them nigga especially older people regardless of intent. The reason why they say you don't need to understand is because at the end of the day everyone knows the history of the word especially in this age and its easy to show some form of respect/understanding and not use it at all if you're not black. Comparing that to fascism is a hilariously horrid take.
