• The Interlooper: Short...
Acid, a film that was never intended to release, we had no budget for actors, the crew were the cast and editors in total of six people made this film. We know the acting isn't believable you are not in any way smart for being able to point that out. Check out the latest films which have come along way since the days of Acid.
A short film we shot back in January and February, we were working on Orb at the same time and this project didn't get much attention.We were going to never release it as we thought it was awkward and the acting wasn't great along with sound problems but Instead of never releasing it we decided to anyway despite missing some of the needed foley of punches and sounds of pain. Set in the 80's the film follows a gang of young British thugs as they do what they do best.

Good liquid acid takes less than a minute to kick in. Blotting paper ones take 30-90 minutes due to being mixed (diluted) by a solvent meant for preventing evaporation.

Pretty good acting from the main guy, sound was actually fine, amazing cinematography. Would maybe be better with more rehearsed acting and/or more scenes in between, maybe spread the events over a few days.

Other than some of the acting this is very well crafted, and I found the acting of main character to be exceptional, the cinematography was well polished, and the story was pretty good. my only other complaint is the stock sounds, ha ya gotta start somewhere, and this is a great start compared to other newcomers short films

rocotile 29 we agree with all your points, on the sound one we actually recorded the sounds ourselves however the sound design was never finished this cut wasn't intended to release however we lost passion on it, we also made this a few years ago and thought it wasn't our best at the time. Check out the much newer films like "trails" we've come along way since acid and would love to hear your feedback on something much newer 😀

Before you comment and point out how awful it is, (yes we hate it more than anyone) take the time to check out our much newer films such as this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qphjeqZ1vtGamHk.html Acid was made at a time when we didn't know any actors or have the resources we have now so we had to act in it ourselves however we learned a lot from doing so.

We certainly do, this was shot on the 700d DSLR, we now mainly use the c100, the latest trailer for "Trails" however was shot on the 700d again though.

I became familiar with 'TheThreeLancers' a day ago and I have watched a majority of the videos. Until I saw this particular video I was under the impression that it was only sci-fi stuff. I did read the above paragraphs prior to watching, and I believe that your words sell yourself short. I think that it's a great video! It's amazing how much insight was crammed in to such a short video. Sort of a, 'picture can speak a thousand words' type of thing. Of course we could pick it apart but why? It's great!

The technical parts of this film are really impressive for a student film, the acting was mostly bad but I know how hard it is the get good actors when your access to anybody actually interested in acting is limited.The main character was fairly convincing I think he did a fine job. Good stuff.

This film was absolutely amazing, one of the best British short films I've seen. I'm making a teenage gang film myself and this really inspired me as a film maker. The cinematography, editing and music was phenomenenally great and I hope this gets more views. I wasn't a fan of the acting but I read the description. Fair play Michael Harrison, you made a great film 🎥👍
