@@chrisp.9172 He didn't force her out lol. Nest floated on the far turn while she went around the turn, so Irad moved her back over to the rail once they were clear. That is 100% legal as he did not impede the forward progress of any horses. He also didn't force her out in the first turn, she was already outside of the other horse, Irad just backed off the pace and moved Nest to the outside of the leader (also legal to do in racing). Also, he didn't float her out in the stretch, after he got back to the rail, he stayed on the rail with Nest, it was Clairiere's jockey who moved her out to the center. Like bud, did we even watch the same race? Or are you just being a sourpuss bc you lost money.

Also please note that Clairiere did not float when Nest did lol, she was INSIDE of her on the turn

Yes, today Irad is The best jockey in USA. Thats a fact. There are many greats jockeys, including The Classic riders, but now, nobody is like Ortiz.

I wouldn't give her the eclipse award quite yet! They're still gonna face each other a couple more times. And Clariere best Nest pretty bad last year. And Malathaat barely got up, while Clariere was crowded in traffic along the rail, on a track that was favoring rally wide all day. I just watched that race again. That race was three heads on the wire, anybody's race. Let's see what happens with a more honest pace, in a $2'million dollar race

@@chrisp.9172 true. It Malathaat was also 6-2 against Clariere. 4-0 in 3 year old season and won the last two and the big one . As for this year iDK I figured best just wasn’t as good as Clariere. After today off that loooong layoff Nest may be best. Personal Ensign will be huge for Clariere

I long for the days when the Distaff division was wide open, not talking about just 2 horses. I know Bafferts Faiza will have a home court advantage. She ran bad last time, IDK if she shipped bad, or if she's just not that good, but it will be interesting..

Don’t know him personally but I get the impression he’s trying to be a modern day Angel Cordero. I know what you mean. I’ve seen him in the past ride aggressively in the stretch, sometimes trying to intimidate or spook a rival even though Irad had no horse left, and I have questioned his tactics at times. Simple: trying to be like Cordero.

He was all over the track in highly rated race! Totally unnecessary with these types. Should get 5 days for this

So far, I've seen some full ass fields at Del Mar? 12 and 14 horse fields on the turf, excellent betting opportunities..

@@tylerchin7826 IDK why? There purses are almost 2x as much for maiden and allowance races( Ca. to greedy to increase) Also, Churchill is not running. Perhaps it's because top trainers like Pletcher and the Chad rule all the stakes races, and with Linda Rice getting nearly everything else. Leave only nibbles for the little guy, so they stay in Florida and go to Del Mar. I know that Del Mars "ship and win" has something to do with the larger fields than Santa Anita , where they pay the shipping costs for horses is working. @@chrisp.9172 same I enjoy the chat! But that’s a good point pletcher and brown honestly control the eastern end of racing in the us. But still on the other side you have baffers, O’Neil, sherif. Idk what it is. But the whole 3-6 horses for a 750k stakes is a huge turn off for me in the better aspec. I much rather play a MSW at Gulfstream with 12 horses than a 4 horse field any day.
