You can take a camera out of the box and get great video with natural light. It took me 5 years to be able to get great sound. Sound separates the men from the boys. Subconsciously the public thinks something is not good but can't say why. It's usually the sound. Great job great videos.

@bluemoon121 so true! It got even worse once I got the bug to start making music... between buying vinyl and music gear,... every red cent I have is spoken for. couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out

Interesting stuff, the whole found sounds thing is much like what people were doing with "Musique concrète" and industrial in the late 80s and early 90s.

@nakotasun that's Rick Wilhite's Vibes New and Rare Music which is closed now, but there is a compilation in its honor selected by Rick (the big bald black dood in the shop in this video) on Rush Hour. it was one of the best shops for house music i've ever been to!

nice post, I have never seen this before. Is there any more interview footage of theo?
@nakotasun16 жыл бұрын
I think theo composed that. Or she did she is pretty talented. It is probably the vocals for "sounds of the city" which will be the music for a marketing campaign for Adidas of Europe soon.

There is a pretty good record store on 8 mile near greenfield. I'm really scratching around in my memory for the name ofthe place. it's in the video and it is upstairs in a building. i'll keep thinking although it can be painful

Theo regularly checks his mySpace messages for his label (Sound Signature). If you're looking to contact him that might be your best bet.

the us goverment has started to wright information back on vinyl...Why because its the best format.. digital information 10101010 doesnt last as long it decays If vinyl is looked after it can last a hell of a long time
@EmpreinteMusicale11 жыл бұрын
Making music with recorded songs and putting it together is long but the creativest way to make a powerful and deep music . Just because of that I f**k the EDM producers making tracks in ten minutes without using any instrument. "Making music is a physical thing".

still very cool isn't it?

People need to stop talking crap about laptop dj......its called prosgression......with Serato you still play vinyl....its the cd dj's that aint authentic!!!!
@vveerrgg16 жыл бұрын
I didnt make it. I wish I had the facilities to make something as well put together as this..

'FILES" Cant be good enough by their nature))files frustrate me!LISTEN to records, Move ON.hear the difference..it will help you in your production..djing if you can HEAR.
@lovefingerss15 жыл бұрын
serato is bullshit. its not vinyl. and what he said was that music is a physical thing, collecting mp3s is not a physical thing.
@lovefingerss15 жыл бұрын
that's just not true. anyway, look sorry... i'm not hating too hard... but its just not worth anyone's time comparing serato to vinyl. very few dj's use high enough quality files on their serato, and thats just a disgrace to the music. and when people say its about the music, not the format... yeah sure but really its about respecting the music and not making it sound like plastic.
