Finally! We have an HD version of The Cold Snap! Big thx to Daniel Pineda for sending me this! Enjoy! I do not own Theodore Tugboat. It belongs to the respectful owners

I love this episode. It teaches a good lesson that sometimes even authority figures can make mistakes.

My first son is due in May.. we are naming our son Theodore… I had no idea about this show until last week. I love the theme song and it’s so very nostalgic, wish I had watched this growing up! Now I watch it with my son(who is still in my belly) it’s so peaceful. I play it in the background next to my belly so he can hear it.

12:06-12:48 That’s what so great about the Dispatcher. He always cares about how his tugs feel and unlike Captain Starr in TUGS, where he never says he’s sorry for how he treats Ten Cents and his friends (especially in Quarantine), the Dispatcher always apologizes for his mistakes and owns up to his tugs. Like you said, that’s the kind of figure that everyone needs in their life.

While I do think that The Dispatcher was being very unfair towards Theodore in this episode, but at least he apologizes unlike Sir. Topham Hatt whos been known to make mistakes from time to time in Thomas the Tank Engine. I do love the parental bond tones between Theodore and Mr.Dispatcher. :)🙂🙂It's sweet.💖

Hence why I think Theodore in many ways is better than Thomas
@CEO100able2 жыл бұрын
I know right?! I agree since that's exactly what Sir Topham Hatt should have done consistently throughout Thomas & Friends especially when letting out false accusations and more nonsense, although he's oftentimes nice!

Topham has apologized for his mistakes, Cranky Bugs being the most known example

@@zackattack8725 I forgot about that episode. He did apologize to Thomas and Percy for Chanky's mishaps.

The way Sir Topham acted was completely wrong! I mean really what’s more important in his life having everything organized and on time or his friends?! He’s such a bad example!

Not going to lie, but the Dispatcher was a complete pillock in this episode, and Theodore was a bit silly by saying that he never makes mistakes.
@Bunny237232 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I didn't like how he treated Theodore in this episode, but at lease he did apologize at the end. Plus I think Theodore was a bit naïve to think Mr. Dispatcher can't make mistakes.

It’s easy to say that someone you look up to doesn’t make any mistakes. But it’s important to remember that everyone makes mistakes

When I was younger I thought the show took place in Maine because I remember my father driving up to Portland Maine with me. Since it reminded me of Portland Harbour and didn't realize it was Canadian till I was a teengager looking up info about the show. Kinda Silly of me huh?
@amandanies31745 ай бұрын
It's not silly at all. I watched this show a lot as a kid too, and it reminded me of the many port cities I've visited in Washington state (my home state). This show is one of the big reasons I love port cities. I also never knew for the longest time that this show was Canadian until I looked it up, and it was fitting for the late great Denny Doherty to be the Harbor Master.

4:40 "Badly?!?" What, has been Sharon Miller been influencing the production of Theodore Tugboat?!? Another episode I enjoyed because of the affects and the small gags like the sign the Dispatcher hung on his back!! The looks of the harbour set and the sounds of the narration does make me feel pretty chilly. I live up north and I enjoy episodes like this that I can watch during big, deep freezes!!

1:18 Is that a model of a Caterpillar scraper?
@CEO100able8 ай бұрын
I think so since it looks like a 1992 ERTL Caterpillar 631E scraper. I believe it was also seen in TM Books & Video's I Love Cat Machines series since I remember seeing it in the Caterpillar Heavy Iron Express segments back in the early 2000s. It's cool how it made appearances in some children's media about vehicles back in the day.

@@CEO100able Hmmm... Interesting.
@CEO100able8 ай бұрын
@@ThomasLover-fr8nh Yeah, I did research on that particular diecast scraper, and it looked like something that can be added to ERTL vehicle collections. In other words, an object that can be easily collected as a familiar production prop. I've had several ERTL and Norscot Caterpillar models for many years. I plan on getting the vintage ERTL Caterpillar 631E scraper one day.
