1976: My mom took me, my sister and brother on a road trip to Colorado in a Pinto station wagon to be in the mountains. Small world. My parents divorced in '70 but remained friends until my father's death in '87. They sustained our interracial family through personal pain and societal ostracization. Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your story and Sam for listening.
