That is how I felt like at home, elementary school, and middle school. Sometimes I would argue with a clock at lunch in elementary school which clocks always made me want to watch them. Or I would stare at shaping thing that was like the DVD logo. Fascinated me a lot when it was turning to different colors and shapes. Gotta miss those days when computers did that!

I would like to know how they actually filmed this. Steve Carell (Michael Scott) is not looking at the tv screen, and yet has to time his line to the moments when the logo bounces off the wall and when it bounces off the corner. Now I'm sure the logo floating on TV is a pre-recorded video that's being played than an actual screen saver, but did Steve just time his words by seconds in order to sync with what's going on in the screen? Was there a mirror in the back (can't see one, and we do get full room view now and then)? Did one of the other actors/actresses give like a hand gesture equivalent to "It's happening it's happening it's happening, get ready finish your line in 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.."

My health/PE teacher told us about this scene in class last year. The class was misbehaving and the teacher already taken points away from people (I didn't lose points because I'm a good student), then he made a deal that if the DVD logo hits the corner, the class would get their full points. it worked, after a few fails, it hit the corner! it was hilarious.

I was on a long bus ride for a field trip and the movie was paused... everyone was sitting watching the DVD logo waiting for it to hit the corner and one of our teachers was giving a speech. Funny thing is that it's genuinely entertaining. The anticipation, the near misses, the satisfaction when it finally happens. Just imagine the amount of money wasted at sports events half time shows when they could just have a team logo bouncing around on the screens.

This is why I love the office. Long before I had ever seen this episode there was a TV at my work that had this same screen and it used to frustrate me to no end that the square never landed perfectly in the corner.
