From Season 5 Episode 20: DREAM TEAM - After getting off on the wrong foot with his new supervisor, Charles (Idris Elba), Jim (John Krasinski) finds himself face to face with the new boss in a soccer game in the Dunder Mifflin parking lot. Meanwhile, Michael (Steve Carell), afraid to face the workday, has trouble leaving his house.

The best part about it is it illustrates the idea that entry level jobs lead to greater opportunities. Ryan thought he was "too good" to make copies and answer the phone but Pam started out doing those things and that led her to greater things. If you really look at Ryan he honestly pretty much accomplishes nothing the whole show because he's basically just a huge loser with no personal drive. LOL!

@@SimpleManGuitars1973i wouldn't say that's entirely true. He got promoted to Jan's old position and he was pretty full of himself. He had enough drive to want to commit fraud and pump up his numbers.

@@AnMaPa He had drive until he went downhill. He gets really lazy in the later seasons and it shows, especially when Jim asked him to do a simple task and had to embarrass him to finally get him to do it.

This almost had me thinking that Michael leaving Dunder Mifflin would be when The Office jumped the shark but in reality became one of my favorite arcs of the show.

@@calilaployploy2827it’s way too short when you’re watching the show in a binge, but imagine watching it week to week. There’s like a 5-6 week arc starting from Charles Miner showing up and ending with Michael’s company being bought by DM. In comedy tv, that’s a much bigger arc than you’d normally see

Bc it was a planned short arc. Michael was always going to do something for transferring holly, and realistically Michael Scott cant run a company thats why it was like 3 episodes

I'm told that when CROCs first came out, almost everyone hated them and made fun them. It was a niche product with a dedicated fan base. Now, my generation loves them. Michael Scott was a genius ahead of his time.

@@PizzaPenguin650 My father is a very successful individual who owns 2 golf courses in the fancy resort town of Blowing Rock, NC (Blue Ridge Mountains) and 17 rental properties and he wears CROCs almost 24/7. The funny thing is, he actually did grow up in a run down trailer park…so technically you are correct. You can take the CROCs out of the trailer park, but you’ll never take the trailer park out of the CROCs.
