Young people, this here is what the song says , it a slow jam, and we did what they say in the song, we slow danced to it. That led to talking , looking into each others eyes, phone numbers, romance, relationships, even marriage. This is the way your grandparents , and great grandparents did it back then, no smartphones, social media, or internet was involved, only talking on the phone, telling friends, meeting family, and or course, other things. 😉😉😉😄😄👍🏾✌🏽

Kenneth Edmonds a.k.a. Babyface co-wrote this song recorded by Midnight Star in 1983, at that time he was part of the group The Deele. You can hear the same melody of "Slow Jam" on the song "Lovers", the title track of his debut album on solo career, released in 1986.
