Why do relationships need to be taught in school? Socialization naturally happens in school and isn't taught by teachers

This subject shouldn't be brought up in schools...anymore than religion ...parents should decide what to discuss with THEIR children.

Yes it does. I live in Minneapolis, MN and my son, who's in the 7th grade has an ethnics class (why?), but the teacher started talking about genders and my son asked "what does that have to do with ethnics?". Didn't get a response and then started talking about the number of genders and my son and his friends said " There only two." Proud dad moment. So, it does go on. I can't afford to send my kids to private school or home school them, as my wife and I both work full time, but the most important thing is to be able to talk to your kids and that they aren't afraid to talk to you. My kids tell us everything, even to the point of telling on themselves. At this point, the powers that be are turning my state in to another leftist one like California and it's a shame. They set up an atmosphere where kids are treated like they are “special” if they are anything but straight. Would that not encourage a young child to go down a path that they would not have otherwise even considered? Just leave the children alone.

It shows you how fast 'what's normal' in a classroom can change. In a few short years at college, these folks are shocked to hear what is happening in elementary/middle schools.

I am gay and I too would reject this. It's one thing to mention sexuality in sex ed, that's important, but another thing to have lessons like these that y'all in America are seemingly obsessed with. It's nuts, it's over the top, it's a distraction and it's being curated by people with extremist ideas and responses - just look at them on social media.

I can respect someone different from me without knowing what they like to do in the bedroom. Why they are trying so hard to put what goes on in the bedroom in front of me, I just don't understand.

Something that I don't get is why there has to be a lesson taught about LGBTQ passed, "This letter stands for that." Why do kids have to know anything about that besides the fact that that group exists?

Growing up my parents were strict Christian parents and we could not even be in class during sex education. We had to go to the library (where all the other kids that attended our church was lol) because they felt it was their place to teach us even that! They would have lost their minds if a teacher even approached us this this crap!

I went to public school as a kid and I sent my kids to private, both schools taught sex education and both required a parents permission to attend. I can assure you it had nothing to do with LGBTQ. Once again, Brandon is spot on!!!!! I sent my kids to school to learn reading, math, history, science, writing (hell some kids don't even know how to write in cursive) I can remember when my son was learning cursive and his friend was in public school (the same one I went to) and they didn't teach it anymore. What!!!! How do you sign your name on documents? I know I'm getting off topic, but why is LGBTQ so important to teach in school and the basics aren't? When a school asks how a 4 year old little girl identifies as (this happened with my great niece) when registering for kindergarten, it broke my heart. I worry for these kids. Meanwhile, kids are way underperforming and can't pass grade-level exams... These kids are deciding they are gay or trans in grade school and it's seen as cool. They haven't even had their first kiss yet. My granddaughter told me many of her classmates are gay or trans and she's in 7th grade! Also, she never has any homework. We're not even in the top 10 in education worldwide anymore. We were when I was young.

The custodian/parent/parents are the 1st teachers of a child's life, & have authority over teachers, especially when I pertains to sex & relationships. The teachers in schools are there to teach academics/vocation/physical fitness...NOT sex & relationships. That's stepping on the toes of the parents. If I was a teacher & asked by a student abt sex/relationships, I'd tell them to talk to their parents.

When the teacher is upset that the students REJECT a lesson on sexuality, that just PROVES that they are trying to push it onto kids. And yet, despite the number of times that they claim "We aren't trying to target your kids".... we see something like this that just proves they ARE targeting kids all the time.

Teacher here, we DEFINITELY teach all about slavery. Every school is different but in my school this is certainly not ignored. I don’t even know how a teacher could even teach about the Civil War and not teach about slavery, doesn’t make sense at all.

My grandma used to say, "if you don't like someone who's not like you, you'll never have a friend, ever." People are different, simple. Once you start down a path of focusing on differences, you'll be too busy for actual academics ✌️

It's different in the UK. There are actual laws that enforce these practices. You can be jailed for verbal dissent. They can't be so flagrant in the US... but they can be secretive.

THANK YOU for making this video because more people need to hear this and start waking up. It is this very reason why I started paying attention to what the schools are teaching where my children attend. I can’t believe this is being introduced as young as 3/4 years old. These toddlers don’t care about this. All they want to do is play, color, sing nursery rhymes, count & learn their ABCs.

With the fact that kids are at least a year behind in general studies proficiency, I would think schools would be more worried about that than how kids learn social labels......

My 10 year old niece in Norway was taught abut sex, how to have sex, even where to have it: bed, shower, closet. She was taught about homosexuality & the lgbteqwrs+ community. I was so shocked, just as she was, I sent the school email & their answer was basically that "fortunately they will teach the kids about tolarance & acceptance", the answer made me so angry. But this is what they do in the west.

A persons sexual preferences, regardless what they are, have no business being taught to children in school.

It is taught in elementary schools I attended the school board meeting where they implemented similar things in our district all the parents were against but board didn't care at all.

I'm 59 and when I was in school we didn't even know our teachers first names. We certainly didn't know anything about their sexuality.

Some teachers will explain why they are transgender or binary. That they can choose if they are boy or girl or neither. Hence hundreds of genders and pro nouns. That is what Jordan Peterson fights against here in Canada. It is so scary here.

We do get taught about slavery only through the lens of America slavery solely from the perspective of whites as oppressors. We never touch on the Arab slave trade, Slavic slave trade, nor any other cases. We don’t learn about how slaves were enslaved by their tribal neighbors. It’s sad cause it leads to division and hatred.

I'm from England, and I can say that health education is taught at different levels throughout school. At an elementary level it will be a case of talking about families, and how they don't all look the same, when I was at school I was the only child in my school who's parents were not married, that was seen as shame on me, now there are many types of families, normalising different families is not a bad thing. Children are not being taught sexual positions and sexual acts. They still have to figure that out for themselves just like we did. Without teaching anything about LBGT+ millions of people identify with it, so I don't see what problem it will cause by accepting they are part of society and make up families.

I think all jobs, schools, clubs, ect.. that people have to apply for should have cover up tape over the persons name, sex, and race until that organization brings you in for an interview face to face. It wouldn't solve everything, but it would help a ton.

I watched the first Gay Pride parade on tv when I was 17. I am now 73. My first thought was ..why do they have to publicize it?! Why would you deny that it is good for young people to talk about puberty, sexual orientation in a professional and healthy way and manner? There's absolutely no proper reason to teach kids about sex in school imo. My sister is a high school teacher in Scotland. One of the boys has 2 gay dads and other kids brought it up an asked why, because they were bullying the lad. She just said that families come in different shapes an sizes, but it doesn't mean you can make fun of someone because their situation is a bit different. She also said, that this is really something you should talk to your parents about, and gave all parents of her kids a heads up regardless of whether their kids may or may not ask them. Her priority was to stop the bullying, as it should be. She left it at that.
