Scorpions are German band, and “only love can break down the wall someday” is a reference to a Berlin wall that devided East and West Germany.

You could literally pick any song of the Scorpions from the 80’s, they’re all fire! They didn’t miss, hit after hit. Very underrated band.

Not that anyone asked, but for those of us who grew up in the 80s, this song was always included in our "romantic" playlist 😘 nothing hotter than power ballads

The Scorpions are definitely one of the best, hard rock/metal bands from the 70s and 80s(and beyond)! This was a huge power ballad for them. Other songs I would recommend would be The Zoo, Big City Nights, Rock You Like a Hurricane. So many awesome songs by The Scorpions!

Wind of Change is their best in celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Soviet Union and Communism. The official video show some great live coverage. Great reaction. Thank you gentlemen. 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻

Hey guys, the references to "the wall"...("to break down the wall someday"..."Your pride has built a wall") has two meanings. You nailed the relationship metaphor, but as for the other meaning, Scorpions are from Germany. They were born and raised under the shadow of the Berlin Wall, separating East and West Germany. "The Wall" would come down 6 years after this song came out. Scorpions were there, on that day to celebrate and play live as the wall was being demolished and their country was reunited for the first time since the early 60s.

I work at a concert arena and we had the Scorpions here in October. They are in their 70’s now and still rocking hard! Love your reactions!
