I learned a lot of these songs as a kid. My neighbor was the candy lady and her husband was Mr. Carl. Mr. Carl use to blast classics all night from his patio. The moon and music would come through my window 🎶

Crying comes so easy for some people. Sometimes, I'll look at people and they're all teary eyed. I'm feeling things but I'm like is there something wrong with me. I think I just have dry eyes or something because tears sure don't flow easily- not when I'm mad or sad. Too bad because I think crying is cathartic

My woman cheated on me after I took her for granted. I lied and left her alone too many times. I love her so much and took responsibility. I know she loves me. I took her back. This is foundational music. As a young man, it helped me grow realistic and loving expectations for my future relationships. Yes, as a youngin' making mistakes I used it to seduce. But later I used it to heal. This is one of those songs that helped me aspire to truly have a woman and grow into man. I cried burying my wife with this song in my head. I cried years later singing this when the Lord blessed me with my fiance. Eddie and Walter are simply untouchable. Thank you brothers.

@@kevinodonkor4123 Sorry, I just saw this. Growing up in my day, there wasn't any discussion of a man having emotions. I started to think about balance: how to express the strong masculinity I felt every moment while also being able to share human feelings with a woman. I came to understand how critical love, respect, and mutual sacrifice is to a relationship. After observing older men trapped in a never ending cycle of seduction, I started wondering how many times do I need to prove to myself that I could seduce women? That powerful urge can eventually become a life destroying curse. I started to not just believe I could be faithful to a woman I love, but to demand it from myself. I wanted something more than conquering, I wanted partnership. But partnership doesn't come when sought, it happens when you grow yourself and don't seek relationship-- but are open to it. Women can sense true confidence and true desperation. Become a true believer in yourself without tipping over to arrogance and real pheromones are released. At that point pray for wisdom in chosing someone you can trust, respect, care for, and if need be lay down your life for. Sex is powerful by itself, but when a spirit is shared it becomes so much more, a reflection of God's design. If you keep seeking, learning, and demanding better of yourself (while forgiving the inevitable mistakes) your life will become richer and richer and you will be a mighty blessing to your family. Manhood is a journey, you're off to a great start trying to avoid making all the same mistakes others have made. You will make some along the way, but if those mistakes are survivable and not repeated, they grow you. I'm excited for your life and growth! I'm late 50s and still working to grow. Your desire for and work towards being a good man will be greatly rewarded. Be blessed young brother!

@@sbella6719 Yes! So important to learn along the way that knowledge can be used for good as well as selfishness. Sexuality is a doorway we too often stop at, without entering into the reward of mutual spirituality. There are some things we do to each other that can't be repaired. However, when we can trust each other enough to cry together, we can grow, repair some mistakes, and become what the Creator gifted.

R&B and SOUL music is absolutely TIMELESS! No other genre (except maybe Gospel) can even come close to stirring up these kinds of emotions in people. Black men...... Black men....... BLACK MEN! We gotta go back to talking to and loving on our beautiful Black Queens this way!

I remember in H.S. singing this to my girlfriend at the time, One tear in my eyes like J.Depth in Cry-Baby, With so pain, emotion, deep love, passion, & hurt, And we got back 2gether, Fell more in Love & with each other, With unlimited unbreakable Telepathy , Psychic powers, and being able to know & be there quickly when somethings wrong or when you're hurting.

This song is so sentimental in tender moments of special times of reflection of sweet thoughts of seeing my beautiful mother dancing with my loving father embracing each other on the dance floor and these memories are special reminders how important it is in allowing our love to share with our love ones. I love you Mom and Pop's and yes I miss our loving stepfather who gave us so much love and encouragement in our time together. Miss you and climbing the stairway to heaven with our family and friends.

When you commit to somebody, you give everything-heart, mind, body and soul--to that person. Yes, there will be moments when you and your significant are going to have fallouts--that is to be expected, yet you remember that you love each other, and you remember how strong that love you have for each other. However, there is another dynamic that love has to it, and that is pain. As you hold each other in each other's arms--especially during moments of passion, you allow yourselves to feel not only each others' strengths and passion, but each others vulnerabilities. While the two of you are basking in moments of ecstasy, a slight twinge of pain creeps in because you know that there is going to come a time when you will not have each other, that the two of you are going to be together for a season--however long that is--weeks, months, years, even decades. Despite knowing that inevitable fate, you nevertheless enjoy the love you have for each other. That is what I believe is the core meaning behind--and the reason I love "Cry Together".
