Hi James, I would suck out the old brake fluid out of the reservoir as much as you can. Then loosen the banjo bolt, and take the complete brake master off the bike. BUT becarefull !! Cover everthing with towels. Try to keep the brake hose vertical so no brake fluid leaks out. Then when you did your repair, and its back on the handle bar, place the banjo bolt (brake line) back onto your (empty) reservoir, with 2 new copper washers. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid, and tap at the brake handle to get all the bubbles of air out, that might take a while. When no more bubles come out, change your brake fluid, with a tube on your caliper, just like you do with a normal brake fluid change. Sqweeze the handle and feel if it feels 'hard'. If so tap yourself on the shoulder, Job done..!!

@@TheOldMechanic thanks so much I'm so annoyed with myself I was on the phone and the bolt for the brake lever wouldn't feed through. I wasn't thinking and hit it a tap with a mallet and it broke off the bottom of the master that holds the lever. I've tried fixing with chemical metal and epoxy but to no avail. I could slap myself! Do you know what size the copper washers are so I can go to the hardware shop to get them in preparation? Thank you so much for your videos.

The copper washers are 10 mm. And James, when something brakes of your brake system on your bike never try to fix it with nomatter what. Just buy new, or a good second hand part mate.
