The Onion does such a terrific job; not only at satire and making us laugh, but also in how they make things appear and sound like authentic news reports. They have it all so down-pat! Yes, they are very funny, but they are also very talented. If you were in another room and this came on TV, you'd think it was authentic ... that is of course until it progressed far enough to actually pick up on what was being said.

This one is one of them for me. It is shocking how much of this satire played out in these old videos become so relevant literally less than a decade later! It's the reason why The Onion is known as the most reliable fake news source! More than half of their old videos are telling the future before it happens! Honestly, the Onion is so good at predicting the future, that they predicted in "The Onion's future news from the year 2137" that they would be able to tell you the news before it happened!
