Looking at klaus, hayley knew what she had to do. She knew that klaus was there, and that he would never let anything happen to hope.

To be honest, Hayley was never a favorite of mine but damn that was so hard to watch. The way she just surveyed the scene: seeing Klaus temporarily out for the count, Hope unconscious in Roman's arms, Greta's face just leering at her while she had her hand on Hayley's heart.. Hayley knew she had to be the one to sacrifice herself to take out Greta permanently and protect her little girl. Brave, bold yet tragic move but she died a real hero's death. Not to mention all the crap she's been through, maybe a part of her was ready to let go and trust in Klaus as well as the others to love and protect Hope as she had. Next week is gonna be a bitch since Elijah will be showing up in New Orleans with Antoinette to finish where Greta started and that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. None of the four Mikaelsons can be in the same vicinity since they each carry a part of the Hollow, which is gonna be a problem, Klaus will be in complete wrath mode and want to kill Elijah so Freya and Vincent sure as hell are gonna have their hands full keeping that from happening. And then there's poor Hope. Will she follow her mother's last piece of advice to her or... will it be good-bye New Orleans?

I believe Hayley at this point knew that Klaus would take care of Hope and maybe one day Elijah would remember even if it's to late....but Hayley made that decision trusting Klaus taking care of their daughter.

Personally I never really excepted or understood Elijah's attitude, even if the Mickelson's were actually viewed as strangers and possible adversaries, his utter disregard and cold disinterest in the case of a young girl and woman being murdered was disgusting.

Hayley's eyes said some, "Greta, if I I go down, you're going with me!". Hayley Marshall was NOT a woman to mess with. RIP Hayley Marshall-Kenner.

It sucks because once Elijah walked in and she realizes that he's not going to help her, you can see on her face all the hope of getting out of there alive just fade away and she begins to give up. You can see about when she's fully given up she has an idea of taking the woman with her as she goes. Hayley was one of my all-time favorite characters in the show, she didn't deserve to die but at least she went out doing something honorable and protecting her family🥰😭🥰😭🥰😭🥰😭🥰😭🥰😭🥰😭🥰

When Klaus entered through the door, he had a couple of seconds to do something but Julie Plec and her dumb plot. And you're telling me that during the whole scene klaus is on the floor but when Hayley dies, he magically gets up? All of a sudden he is not in pain anymore.

I am honestly so mad they killed her off. I thought she'd survive and I'm so angry. she was my favorite character & Phoebe's why I initially started the show until I loved it call. I'm honestly mad rn.

What I don’t get about gretas plan is. How could she expect to enjoy that “peace” she spoke about when she knows klaus is going to kill her. There’s literally no point she had no way to put klaus down.

This reminds me a little of TVD. How Stefan was doing things he couldn’t control and Enzo ended up dying, and once his humanity is on he felt bad. I try not to compare the shows, but once Elijah gets his memories back, he’ll feel bad, and hope will never forgive him. Just like how Bonnie barely forgave Stefan. RIP Hayley

Why didn't Hayley just throw her instead of diving with her? Also why didn't she hold on to her finger that way she can hold the daylight ring? It was such an avoidable death. This reminds me of how Stefan held Katherine instead of just throwing her into the flames.

That's what a true mother does, Greta. She sacrifices for her own family, she doesn't turn them into monsters and wants nothing more than their own safety.

Elijah getting his memories compelled to stay away from his family actually worked. He did have a moment where he was looking, but Marcel reminded him why he did it so he stopped looking and then he went to live his new life. It was Klaus getting him back in the game, while also threating his new women got the dominos to fall of Elijah end . So technically Klaus made a enemy out of Elijah before this whole shit got started. In Antoinette his now fiancé telling him her brother is now in danger. He stepped in thinking he was doing right by his new family. Elijah got caught up in a century old drama, and not all the details from his now fiancé. She only told him half of what was going on. AS time go by I always felt Hayley death was a series of unfortunate events. But these main thing's had a big turning point. 1) Klaus not leaving that Village alone where Greta was like Elijah said. But instead he killed everybody. Made a legacy of hate. 2) If Hope Didn't kidnapped her mom in left her vulnerable. 3) Klaus should of left Elijah alone 4) Half the details from Antoinette.

Just before she looked at Klaus and Hope...just before her death she realised that her true love is Klaus not Elijah

So emotional 😭

I’d love to see her in legacies saying why and how she loved Klaus the way freya did to hope.

You can tell that Julie was more focused on her stupid new show that giving us a good season finale. I mean the whole season was just bad. Elijah getting rid of his memories, Hayley dying at the hands of some vampire purists after everything she had been through, Rebekah rejecting Marcel, Marcel being Klaus’s little servant, basically almost no Kol and Davina, Freya just whining and of course the ending: both Klaus and Elijah die leaving Hope on her own. The only thing that I enjoyed was Caroline helping Klaus bond with his daughter and the fact that Josh was standing up to Klaus and Marcel (sadly he got killed off too). I so wish Julie would never make the Legacies, which is not good anyways and just gave us a better season finale or even an extra season of the Originals instead 😖
