High Pockets have way too much whip for me. Mid low - low is golden for me

I feel like if you have a high pocket you can bring your stick back farther when your winding up to shoot with less of a risk of the ball flying out of your stick when your in your shooting motion. Therefore giving you more power to your shot.

I completely agree, I fell into the trap of high pockets because of their looks and I lied it at first but I had a very inconsistent pocket, and an extremely long bottom string. I decided to try a mod

Greg your completely right I string stick for my team and they ask for the three things in a high pocket which is impossible like on a proton power with not a lot of Side wall holes you took the word right out of my mouth a lot of people don't understand , thanks for clearing it up

It should also be mentioned that high pockets are pretty inefficient, with pretty negligent gains on hold and whip. They also are horrendous for cradling one handed, as they sit high (obviously)and are less "centered" on your hand, making them less stable. I'd say in almost every case, it's better to go mid or mid high, depending on whip preferences.

Greg I love your honesty in your videos and theories! Half the people do exactly what you showed when you pounded the pocket high and than show the channel ect! When people get a custom strung pocket from a big stringing company I'm not naming any because I'm not going to throw them under but when you choose a high pocket and you receive it and you go throw around with it, it bags out and isn't what you ordered in the picture that you saw about your high pocket you do need a long bottom string as you said to create a "high pocket" and you need to sacrifice a really tight channel and interlocking at the end help a little bit but the best thing to do is have a high pocket! You know your stringing and exactly how the pockets form I've learned so much from your theory's they should be facts in my opinion but everyone is different and how they see things but I trust your words and your theories because I infact have a really high pocket with a long bottom string and it sits right where I want it your 100% right and spot on about your high pocket theory thanks for all the tips keep up the fantastic work buddy

to get a little tighter of a channel in a true high pocket you can do a stacked SI after the second interlocked diamond which you string to the inside of the head and also string the following double or triple to the inside of the head. so for the i(nside)ssi you go - under under, into the hole from the inside of the head, come up and then go DOWN into the first and the second diamond and then pull it tight while staying on the inside. you follow that up with a double or a triple after which you also go in through the inside of the head first and voila.

is it possible to do a tutorial on a nike vapor with a high pocket or mid high maybe, that has good hold and not too much whip. ive used your sidewall method in your previous video on the vapor but the only problem i had was too much whip and was hard for me to get the hang of. my shooters might have made a big difference on the whip too but i dont know. if you could reply and give me your thoughts or do the tutorial then it would help lots. thanks

Hey i love lacrosse and have been playing for 5 years since i lived in another state. This year i'm a sophomore in high school and want to start a team at my school. Money isn't a problem for my school but the reason why i can't start a team is because it's not a state sponsored sport where i live. What steps can i go about to get my school interested. There are around 5 schools in my city that have a team but they too are private schools. Do you have any advice? Any lacrosse programs i could contact to help me get this started?

Super tight bottom string. As low on the diamonds you can go and as tight to the head as possible. It will drastically cut the pocket depth but give a better feel with more consistency and concurrently, will lessen whip
