I always knew they would be swimming because no matter how tall or heavy they are, the ocean is still too big, and Hanji said they are moving too fast to be walking in the bottom of the ocean. I was surprised to know that most people were expecting the Wall Titans to be walking in the water.

I think why me and many other people think that colossal titans would walk on the ocean ground is because we think of titans like they are zombies so we don't expect them to be flexibel (and maybe intelligent) enough to do something as "complex" as swimming movements instead of just walking.

The shot of the steam rising coming to the ship and titans advancing towards it at such high speeds made the episode for me. Usually in a show with a giant battle you get a shot of the advancing enemy coming toward you to give you the sense of the scale of what’s happening. In this scene it’s coming so fast that there’s no time to be amazed, just immediate shock and horror at how fast their death is coming to them, and nothing in the world can stop it. Reminded me of the firing of FLEIA in Code Geass in that it’s coming so fast it’s jarring

Sorry for my bad English. The attack titan = shingeki no kyojin =進撃の巨人 進撃=attack の=of, 巨人=titan But attack is usually 攻撃 not 進撃 in Japan. 攻撃, 進撃 and 巨人 are Chinese characters and have meanings on their own. 進=advance forward, go up, improve, etc. 攻=attack, learn 撃=hit strongly, slap 攻撃 means attack. 進撃 means attack but also including advance forward, etc. Usually in Japan the attack titan = kogeki no kyojin =攻撃の巨人 but the creator, Hajime Isayama-sensei, deliberately chose to name it shingeki no kyojin! It is difficult to translate shingeki no kyojin to English. The name of the Titan and the name of the show is: The titan who attacks to advance forward(for freedom). That Is the more correct meaning. the founding and the attack are 2 seperate types of titans, the attack was originally erens dad but he ate the founding titan an then eren ate him, so he actually got TWO titans in that time if i am understanding it right, he also had access to the armored titans spinal fluid when he gets captured and brought to that underground cave area, and he ate that titan with the big hammer, not sure what it is called, but seriously even before this point he had access to like 4 different titans i believe, getting the founder just gives him the set XD

My personal favorite AOT episode. This has everything you could ask for like: Massive Titans, answering big questions, amazing animated action, godlike soundtrack, wholesome moments, pure AOT depression, and THAT ending scene. The cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers.

What makes this show something different is that there isn't really a true villain. Just people with problems and varying solutions... some much more extreme than others. Not to say Eren is a hero, but it was the only way he saw fit. History repeats

What's really bad is that most of the titans blown to bits by the cannons literally just regenerated and rejoined the march. Even if they're cut in half, if their nape isn't destroyed, they regenerate.

I would die and cry hysterically if I was a girl with my parents on a Saturday morning or Friday morning and looking at the window to see that titans are coming and that my whole people are about to be killed and burned to death. This scene hurts to watch ( amazing) but hurts to watch
