Kaji Yuki deserves all the awards for the work he put in here. His range from near tearing his throat our screaming while breaking free from his chains to the low, sinister and composed intent of his voice when declaring global genocide with The Rumbling is something that gives me constant chills. This was the episode I waited to see animated so bad! And my god did it deliver!

I've read the manga but i just noticed when watching the anime, Ymir was freaking merging with the tree when she became a titan! That's why titans are lighter than their supposed size and they need a FREAKING SUNLIGHT to operate and goes sleep mode at night!!!!!! Edit : THEY ARE BASICALLY A FREAKING PLANT! They regrow when cut, unless your took out the root which is THE SPINE!!!!

Whenever I see a group of reactors I have to think of the idea that humanity, on average, is fucking stupid. The amount of stuff is missed, misunderstood or not surprising/surprising (when it shouldn't be), is honestly baffling. Like, this whole "she made a deal with the devil" thing was literally addressed in just one episode after that and specifically noted as "there's no truth". Ambiguity instead of clear cut "evil vs good" is like the biggest part of the show, besides "move forward". How do people ignore something as monumental as that.

well, ymir was born free, but since the eldian tribe captured her peaceful tribe, it started there. at such young age, she had to go thru that, and what is heartbreaking is that before the eldian tribe occupied the tribe she's in, she was always the helpful little girl but the people pointed all their fingers at her without hesitation... i mean, she did released the pigs, but given the fact that these people, without question and like i said awhile ago, no hesitation, just blamed it on little ymir is just... sad and heartbreaking. she tried helping those people in her own ways but the people she helped threw her just like that.

i am with Erens plan like the eldians barricaded themselves and stropped fighting and years after the whole world still wanted to them dead, made them the enemy after years of not fighting or retaliating. Marley and the world made them the bad guys so Eren gonna be the bad guy to protect his people. if you guys rather die willingly for something you had no part of, something you dont even remember or know about go ahead.

I'm onboard with his eradication plan as well tbh. The Eldians were repressed for centuries, especially after the King wiped their memories clean of the great wars and not having enough resources to retaliate. I like to compare Eren's methods in the means of how Lelouch from Code Geass went about his plan to protect his people, mainly his younger sister. If it takes the main protagonist, who is viewed as the hero initially, to become the villain *intentionally* to save their people and obtain their freedom, then so be it. As gruesome as it may be on one side of the argument, the war wouldn't just end in that sense, unless you wipe out your enemies. I don't understand as to why some of these "reactors" still see Eren as "selfish" and that he is only obtaining his freedom when he literally just said he's saving all those that grew up on the Paradis Island.

@@mochi-chan1337 it’s not really a percentage to his powers, but a intent and extent. like when he initiated the rumbling that was exactly his full powers, not a percentage. freeing the titans from within the walls are basically like the ultimate combatant no one has ever did or even tried so it can’t necessarily be stopped as soon as it starts.

So we finished what was left of chapter 121, all of 122 and the last few panels in chapter 123. Next week is titled Thaw which is chapter 124. I figured we'd be doing a lot of jumping around from this point on, but I hope they don't skip that flashback.

Before they can take my freedom, I will take theirs, 'Eron Yeager'. His philospohy is justifiable just as those who wished to exterminate the inhabitants of Paradis island could be said to be saving the world, Eron can also be said to be saving the world for his friends. This show is extremely complex but does a great job of showing every point of view and showing that everyone is right and wrong, it's all a matter of perspective.

that's the entire idea with the mindless titan themselves, just like the children they know nothing about the reason why they eat their mother so as to get her powers. the mindless titans are programmed to do the same thing so the power will be forwarded to the next and the cycle keeps on going.

I dont know why people are surprised when King Fritz asked his daughters to eat Ymir. Eren ate his dad. We are already familiar with people eating people in this show.

Nah this was different unlike the others coz in this one they didn't ate ymir as a titan they literally cannibalizing their mother as humans. I also was disgusted reading this in the manga like they were literally kids and to eat their MOTHER?? It's fvcked up so I understand their reactions.

So the demon didnt give her the titan powers, the demon hasnt even been shown yet. So, is that demon gunna be Eren????? This show has been nuts. Sundays have been nuts. One of the greatest story writings, and some of the best animation that has ever been done. Both this show and Demon Slayer. Plus the already best girl material of My Dress-up Darling, the unexpected and unreal animation from Princess connect, and not to forget the general trash shows we all love, this season is too good. Makes me worried that next season is going to feel dull

There is no demon. The “demon” was actually the worm organism that attached itself to Ymir. The worm entity is apparently the source of all life on earth and was dormant until Ymir accidentally made contact with it. Since this happened over 2,000 years ago, there were little to no written records of this happening during that time, so after Karl Fritz exiled himself onto Paradis, Marley fabricated a story of Ymir supposedly making a deal with the “devil” to obtain titan powers. This was done to create propaganda of Eldians as “devil spawn” and caused them to be subjugated to racism and prejudice, and were viewed as a threat to the rest of humanity. The “devil” was Marleyan propaganda and doesn’t actually exist in the AOT world.
