i did mine with the same gear stick, its a pain in the arse to do took me best part of 3 hours, there is a pin which connects to the trigger, and you have to remove the whole unit and trim to swap it out and then its a complete nightmare to put the ping back on with the new one, looks better fully done though, I used the original leather top section with the DSG on it, because the gloss black one looked shit. everything else was de-chromed.
