I loved how the Vikings played "Don't Stop Believing" while they were on the brink of completing the greatest comeback in NFL history. Then Dalvin Cook happened 🔥. Ol' Jim Irsay couldn't have been happy on the plane ride home. Especially after he publicly went to bat for Jeff Saturday the way he did 😂.

That loss wasn't a coaching problem....players got to make plays mano V mano. The Colts got way ahead due to some bad plays the Vikings did in the first half...not by excellent offensive execution. The breaks went the other way in the 2nd half and the Colts offense just couldn't move the ball...and scored only 3 points. That's not Jeff Saturday's fault...and I'm with you looking at Matt Ryan owning the two WORST CHOKES in NFL history. A good QB is more than just a ball thrower and there looked to be no motivation in the Colt offense at all. Coach can tell the players what to do...but THEY have to go out and do it. Or...if what the coach wants isn't a good fit for their talents...work with them to be the best you can be. This looked like a team that thought they had it in the bag and went soft...and when things started going bad they had lost the momentum that is so important to have. I know lots of people will blame Saturday...not me. He's a good dude doing the best he can do with the guys on the team he has. Give him at least a couple seasons with some input into personnel before trashing him IMHO.

The Vikings were robbed of a TD in the first half. That would have never made a comeback that large possible because they would have had 7 points for sure. They got robbed of another TD later in the game and the Colts got robbed on the 4th & 1 that Matt Ryan clearly got from three camera angles. Terrible refereeing. But the same thing happened in the old Oilers/Bills game. Don Beebe ran out of bounds and caught a TD. Don Beebe lost a fumble to Chris Dishman (and was called down by contact even though no one touched him) and Ernest Givens was held in OT which lead to the interception that set up the final FG. Neither comeback should have ever happened. Referee's make arbitrary calls all the time.

People only saying this AFTER this team fell apart. Over the past couple years, Indy has been a 'bright' team, Frank Reich was considered a great hire at the time, Reich reuniting with Wentz was considered a great move at the time, Ballard was looked at as one of the better GMs over the past couple years. The unfortunate thing about Saturday and former player, now head coach is, how many interim coaches actually have success? One in like 40-50 years and that was last year. Problem is the owner: The moment he put all the blame on last year on Carson Wentz he let everyone else off the hook. There were multiple failures last year… but they used Wentz as a scapegoat (he owns some of the failure obviously). But no good organization in any sport would do that. Settling for 5 field goals and having 1 offensive touchdown is a major issue. One drive started near midfield and two other drives started at the Vikings 31 yard line, all ended in field goals. Also, on the 4th and 1 the Colts lined up to draw the Vikings offsides and called a timeout. After the time out the Colts lined up and put their backs against the wall cause they couldn’t call another time out. So they had to either run it or take the delay of game, which allowed Minnesota to fire off the ball cause they knew the Colts had to run a play. Inexperience showed both head coach and offensive coordinator throughout the game.
