One nanny I had asked for permission to go to the hospital, I could tell she wasn't sick she just wanted to go do her own things but I let her. I even gave her money kutibiwa at a public clinic near where we live. She never came back till like 6days later when I had already replaced her. I asked her to go away and paid her on Mpesa as always. She went and reported me to the nearest police station claiming that I had fired her and refused to pay her or to release her clothes.(All this was a lie). I was summoned to the police station, I confidently went coz I knew my truth and for the first time in my life was put into a cell until I explained everything to the policeman and showed them all the Mpesa records I had proving that I had paid her everything for the 3months she'd worked for me. I asked the police to accompany me and her to my house so she can show which one of her clothes I was holding but she completely refused. That's how they knew she was lying all along. They released me and put her to cell I do not know how it ended for her. From that day, I make sure everyone of my involvement with nannies is recorded in paper or phone. I noticed that the police listen more to them than they would to their employers, which is not fair.

My aunt has stayed with hers for 23 years,,,,she raised a girl who is now 24yrs and the lady is raising her daughter,,,plus my aunt is retired,, everyone thinks she is my aunt's small sister or another relative
