Story behind the song:
Our kids give us great inspiration for our music. When Jon's 17-year-old daughter said how much she loved this song, Jon decided to try it. He experienced a flood of inspiration. "Never has a piano part come
together this fast," Jon says. Steve experienced similar inspiration
while composing the cello parts. Since the lyrics suggest a bride
walking towards the groom in a ceremony we thought we would include a quote from the Bridal Chorus by Wagner in the climax of the song. (It is carefully disguised).
As it seems to always go, Paul and Tel didn't find the spot until they spent 9 hours driving around southern Utah the day before the shoot looking. After getting a little discouraged by not finding anything that great, they just happened to check out a little-hidden spot right near Baker Dam and thought it was perfect for the song. The next morning we all loaded up the piano and headed out there to film, but after getting the Truck and Trailer stuck and waiting for the sun to move, we didn't get started filming until that evening having about 3 hours of light. It was so fun to film and play in the middle of the trees!

@@lharamonte4048 I don't know if you saw this story, but just over a year ago, John Schmidt, who is one of the piano guys, lost his daughter. She had gone out to the backcountry and somehow disappeared but no one really knows why or how she disappeared. She had a good future ahead of her, but just very sad all around. I think music has the ability to heal when bad things happen. Still great musicians both of these guys are. 😊

I will be walking down the aisle on April 24th (about three weeks from now) for our vow renewal. We were young I was 20 and he was 22) and we didn't have the money back in 1989. We will be celebrating 35 years and finally having the wedding we couldn't have years ago. I'm nervous but so ready for the day to come. I love this song and I chose this version because I love this version the most. It is timeless and Christina has a beautiful voice but I wanted to tell my story through this processional song on our special day.

I lost my partner to a tragic car accident yrs ago. I think she would have loved this song. She was killed by a drunk truck driver on the night we were going to announce our engagement. She was killed a year before I joined the Marine Corps ( 1986). She would have loved a song like this. Remember to hold your loved ones close and dear to you...they could be lost in a instant.

I thank y'all for your kind words. After I served in the military, I went into Law Enforcement. It was a satisfying career. Worked DUI Enforcement for years, taking drunks off the road. I was a member of the "100 Club" ( meaning..obtaining 100 DUI arrest a year) obtained that average for four consecutive years, before I was transferred to Detective Division. I believed if I can take one DUI off the road, I can save some father, mother or children from being victims.

Such beautiful music! As I sit here while helping my daughter with homework, I can help but look at her and think about her growing up starting a family of her own. My mom died 10 years ago and my wonderful stepdad, the love of her life, joined her in heaven a few weeks ago. This song saved my life. I mean that literally. This time last year, I was in the deep end of depression, and was having suicidal thoughts. Had I not suggest this song to be played during the walk of my brother's wedding, I probably would not be talking about it. I was putting my daughter to bed tonight, and my wife lets her listen to lulabys on pandora to calm her and this song started playing. I imdiately ran to my wife and hugged her and in that moment all i could see was us two young kids under three giant crosses on a windy hilltop, i could see her walking down the aisle and how beautiful she was. I held her cried and remembered how far we have come and all our hardships and all thats going on in the world right now, none of it mattered. All i could think about was how much i love that woman and our beautiful children and how far we have came and how proud i am of her. I love you Sarah Elizabeth.

my childhood ghost tutor sent this song to me one week before he passed away from multi organ failure at the age of 57. he met me when i was in kindergarden and he stayed with me when i was growing up and was always there when homework got tough for me and now he's now gone from multi organ failure. he told me before he left that he was proud of the young woman i've turned out to be and i own it all to him. he helped me get through school, even when homework got really rough for me and he was there at my high school graduation in my grammie's place. he was so proud of me like she would be. i miss you every day and i will miss you for the rest of my life otto.

I walked my daughter down the aisle to this song. I can't help but break down every time I hear this. I remember holding her as a baby, teaching her how to throw a ball to holding her when she needed a friend. Makes me realize why we're put on this Earth, and that is to pass on these loving moments to not only our children but to our fellow human beings.

I honestly that’s what I’m planning. This song. The way THEY play this song is one of the most moving things I have experienced. I am not sure how I ran across it but I too chose this song for when I walked down the aisle to my wonderful husband. Being an ex ballet dancer, I FELT THIS SONG. I could envision a beautiful duet to this. This song! 😢 for the rest of my life it will be remembered as a part of the soundtrack of my story. 11.11.22, my wedding day, was a beautiful moment in time with a huge thanks to this song. My wife and I are having our wedding ceremony this April and she's walking in to this version of the song. I get teary eyed just at the thought of it. I can't wait, it'll be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the world. Update: Thank you everyone for your kind words! We had our wedding April 25th and as expected her walking in to this tune was unbelievable. It's hard to put into words how radiant she was, so I won't even try. I didn't cry though! During our exchange of vows we wrote letters to each other from when we are 80 years old and have spent an entire life together - recalling all the struggles, good times, and how much our love for each other has grown over the years. It was extremely powerful, with even the priest and cameraman unable to hold back the tears. Love is a beautiful thing, and I hope everyone is able to find that special person to share it with. My brother in law was our photographer for our wedding, and he made a photo slideshow with this song and it brings me to tears every time. One of the best days of my life ❤️

I hear pieces like this and I know... I know that everything I'm going through right now is just for now and it will get better. By making it through today tomorrow will be easier. New struggles will come and will seem harder than the last but I know that by keep going... It's always better afterwards.

In summer 2017, I was a camp counselor at my local YMCA we had a morning talent show and one of the acts had this song and this version playing in the background, the kids were singing the song so beautifully and I turned to my friend and we wide eye looked at each other and said: these kids sound good It was very cool

That sounds amazing I said as I heard this wonderful soft piano playing, while my 10 year old was watching/listening to you guys. The music, and woods together took my mind away. Now every night I listen to this, and fall asleep. Love it, easily a great wedding song

I don't know why but i see myself as a 90 yr old man sitting next to an open window of 25 story building with raining outside , looking at the vast landscape , getting sprinkles of those raindrops and remembering my loved one who passed away with whom i listened to this music forever❤💚💙💛
