Not everyone is ready to travel again, and not every country is welcoming travelers. But some destinations like Saint Lucia are open and are ready to welcome visitors. It is possible to travel safely if you take a few precautions at home before you fly, while on the plane and at the resort.

We took a COVID Test before flying and continued to social distance before our flight.
On the plane, we did not sit beside anyone, we wiped down our seats and sanitized our hands.
We never took our masks off except to eat and we social distanced.
Saint Lucia has very strict rules for travel, and we followed all protocols while on the island.
We also made sure to purchase COVID 19 Insurance before flying with Medipac travel insurance.
While we don’t recommend jumping on a plane and traveling the globe we do feel that if you are committed to traveling responsibly and are willing to take all the precautions to keep yourself and others safe, there is no reason you can’t get on a plane and have a vacation.
What it is like on the flight and at the Airport during COVID19.
Flying is a completely different experience right now. Only passengers with boarding passes are allowed in the terminal.
Temperatures are taken before boarding and since we were flying to Saint Lucia and a negative test is a requirement, we had to show our paperwork before check-in.
One the island we wore masks, had private tours, could only stay at government approved hotels, and could only take government approved transportation and tours. Everyone had training and safety protocols for Coronavirus.
When we returned home we had a mandatory 14 day quarantine and could not step foot off our property.
We checked in daily with the government and had food delivered.
Travel is possible during COVID 19 if you take all the necessary safety steps.

I have family in Jamaica and one of their big concerns is travelers who come to the island and intentionally ignore Covid-19 rules and put the islanders at risk. Tourism is very important to the economy for a lot of small islands. A massive outbreak can destroy them. Thank you for doing this video and thank you for emphasizing taking precautions to not bring anything into the island and also protecting the workers. When a country welcomes us it is important that we show respect by being safe. I hope your trip was fun. Stay safe and Happy New Year!!!!

We took safety precautions before our trip by taking a COVID test, and purchasing Travel Insurance from MediPac. We wore masks and social distancing on our flight, had our temperatures checked at the airport and followed the rules of Saint Lucia which has opened for business and is welcoming tourists with strict precautions and safety standards. @@ThePlanetD Absolutely! I mean that a crucial step is the vaccine. Probably, a vaccination certificate will be mandatory for international travellers. I do believe that by the end of 2021 travel-related questions will be more clear.

What kind of test do we need to take to do a international fly? I heard it was PCR but I'm kind of confused if the can be PCR swab or PCR/NAAT or if this is the same thing.

There are different rules for each country it is best to go directly to the government website of the country you are visiting. Some countries require a vaccine (double vaccinated) and others only require a test, while some require both. Things are constantly changing.

I had the covid , for me it was very mild, just a little stuffy for a couple of days. I know everyone is different but it's not bad for a majority of people, unless you have health problems. It just seems like many are a little too paranoid. Just saying. I want to go to Guatemala so checking out what I have to do.

Hey pls can u tell that where do u throw the wipes after cleaning the seat.? Do u keep them in your bag or throw it on the floor?

Great question. We put them in a ziplock bag and then sanitized our hands and then when the flight attendant came around for garbage, we gave her our garbage. We had a paper bag with us because we bought our food at the airport and put all our garbage in there and handed it to her.

@@peachypie107 The legroom is good, and I tell you the truth, I am not sure if they still put vomit bags in the seat. We flew with Air Canada, so they may say something on the website.

My dad wants to go to Mexico to visit his family and asked me if I want to go. If I do, I'll have to avoid the rest of my family for a few weeks because I do not want them, especially my grandma, to get sick. Luckily, I already got the coronavirus months ago and recovered with no issue. I'm still quite worried. I'm in conflict because I've been dreaming my entire life about going to Mexico and meeting my family there. I have a grandmother there I've never met, and she's old, at least in her 70s. Another problem I'm having is that I have a job interview in three days but my dad plans on leaving in 3 weeks and being gone for that long too. I can't do that right after getting a job.

If you do go, prepare yourself mentally, as in México you’ll see that 2 out of 10 people in a public space won’t wear their mask properly, or won’t even wear it, and sometimes the standards are quite weak.

@@AH-yg2dj We went, got back a few weeks ago. And what you said did not turn out to be true at all. I was in 2 main cities, Mexico City and Ixmiquilpan(a small city). Overall in Mexico, the standards were quite strong, on the contrary. Many businesses would only allow one person per party to enter at a time. Many of them checked your temperature before letting you in. And all of them required a mask. The water park had you walk through while being sanitized all over. My family lives in a small village, and even the people there wore masks. I saw very few people not wearing a mask. Mexico standards for international travel were weaker, I confirm, but locally, the standards were much stronger. I was surprised.

Covid testing while on vacation? Int'l flights are pretty much a no go right now, unfortunately. Kinda sucks since I'm a person who never gets sick. I've never had any such symptoms like fever or body aches ever.

hey! i’m 14 and i’m thinking of traveling alone in a few months from Huston to Canada. i was wondering what to do and will i be quarantined? will i be able to get an air hostess? and i’m really anxious and i was wondering if you had any tips?

It all depends on what happens in a few months. But as of now you have to quarantine and will need to have a place set up to be able to quarantine. Are you coming to visit family? I am not sure about the air hostess, but usually for minors, they have someone there to take care of you. I would have your parents check with the airline you are flying with. Let us know how it all goes.

I've been so anxious to see this attractive looking redhead chick that I havent seen since 2018 when everything was normal. She lives in Seattle and I live in NY so I'm sure even now she would fly out to where I am and even if she doesn't she's not going to use covid as an excuse. People don't want to sit home anymore anyway and they want travel the world. Nobody knows when everything is going to be back normal.

Yes, that really is the best advice. We don't recommend traveling right now, but if you have to, there are some safety precautions to take that can keep you and others safe.

As long as they travel safely it should not be your concern. People are going to fly regardless as long as they take precautions.
