The Telegraph's Dan Schofield joins Martin Devlin on It's Only Sport live from Dunedin, ahead of this weekend's All Blacks-England rugby test at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
It's the dawn of a new era for the All Blacks with their first test of 2024 and first under coach Scott Robertson. This year is also the first time in 10 years that England are touring New Zealand, and they haven't tasted victory on Kiwi soil in 21 years.
Schofield and Devlin discuss all the important preview angles of the test, including England's chances at winning, whether the All Blacks still have an aura about them, and more.

Losing by 1 point in a RWC final with 14 men most of the game and just missing a goal at the end to win. No way in hell is the All Black aura gone. After that RWC the aura is fully restored and ready to wipe out the rugby world!!

Every 8-10 years someone associated with Northern Hemisphere and/or English Rugby announces the AB Aura is one. Then we end up playing and … Remember the All Blacks were said to be the worst AB side to leave NZ. Then lost the World Cup final by 1 point. An the English are talking about nearly beating France. In NZ we call that a loss.

@@giovannisheh2270 England sure do have cultural dances, we don’t incorporate them into our national rugby team however. I’m an English Kiwi who doesn’t have a problem with the haka, I love it. So use that to back up your “most kiwis who bash the haka are poms” statement 😂😂😂

noone looks at a game agasint the all blacks as just another run of the mill game...every team on earth including the boks see that as an extremely tough game...the toughest there is actually...the aura is still there...its only gone in the eyes and minds of those who are blind to the reality of how dangerous any AB team is...even with our worst coach we still made it to the final of the RWC and lost by 1 point only with 14 men for the better part of the match...that right there is all the "aura" you'll ever need

This All Black team have best front rowers in the world. Razor has selected very good team. Aumua is best running Hooker in the world.We have six world class props. England are good team.Our forwards are going smash them. We still have Will Jordan and Cam Riogard to comeback into this team. I believe Cam Riogard is potentially a better halfback in DuPont. He is bigger and faster running player than DuPont.

Of course the All Blacks have lost their aura. We are in the professional era. Everyone is on a level playing field. It’s not just about talent and skill anymore. Game plans have evolved and also the rules have changed. The game is significantly slower than it used to be. The slower speed of the game does not favour the All Blacks. It’s a tossup who wins when the top countries play each other now.

In all seriousness I honestly think it's amazing how evenly talented and matched international rugby has become over the last 20 years. The fact that nowadays nobody knows who is going to win when the top 6 or so teams in the world clash, is the best thing ever and would want it no other way🙏🏽. I have always known/believed the All Blacks are the best ever but to be absolutely honest I wouldn't be too surprised if England beat us tomorrow but I'm not going to admit that 🤣. Respect and admiration for England and it's going to be an amazing game...Let's go!!!
