Yeah, yeah, yeah! Knuckleheads is back with a Hall of Fame ep. Number 21, the dude who started the straight-out-of-high school trend, one of the greatest fours ever, The Big Ticket aka Kevin Garnett, joins Q and D. The guys get talkin’ about everything from KG’s growth spurt putting him on the map, to his transitioning from South Carolina to Chicago, to how Isaiah Thomas gave him the blueprint to make the league straight out of high school. They also get into his dominating in Minny, going to Boston and winning a championship, and how much the Hall of Fame meant to him. It’s KG like you’ve never heard before…. Tune in!
Growing up in South Carolina [3:54]
Going to Chicago for senior year [21:14]
Straight to the NBA out of High School [35:29]
All-Star Game at MSG with MJ and Kobe [1:15:05]
2004 MVP season in Minnesota for the T-Wolves [1:29:50]
Traded to the Celtics, teaming up with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen [1:32:35]
Why KG chose number 21 [1:51:09]

@GreyMann2 people say injuries but the even before he got that big injury, the way he was playing, no way was he gonna be the next KG. Miles was at best gonna be a 10ppg, 5rpg guy who'd give u a few high-flying dunks a game. That being said, I loved those Clippers teams as a kid lol was always playing as them in NBA Live, even had Miles starting at 3 and Odom at the 4. Had Maggette at 2 and Q-Rich at point lol

KG is one of the best dudes both on and off the court. I remember when I was a kid, he was signing autographs at the Mall of America and the line was so long that we couldn't get in...my brother and I resorted to pounding on the store's glass to get his attention. He stopped what he was doing, turned around, and gave us the biggest smile and come up to the glass and gave us a high five through it. Just a great dude.

KG took me out, with that story about Big Baby missing the bus to the banquet dinner, and had to ride the little kid's bike to the venue. So then when Big Baby finally showed up, he told the team why he was late, and KG and them thought he was lying, so Big Baby was like, "On my mama!! On my mama!! The little boy's outside with the bike. On my mama!!" So then KG does the imitation of Doc and his gravelly voice: "Alright, Baby, just sit ya ass down, you're in here now, goddamn it." 😆😅🤣😂☠💀☠💀☠💀☠💀☠💀☠💀☠💀☠💀 KG's funny as hell. He missed his true calling. Big Ticket should've been a 7 foot, stand up comedian. KG needs to do a Netflix movie about his life, from him coming up in South Carolina, to his rise in Chicago, to him going to the league. That would be 🔥🔥🔥

Shouts to my fellow Taurus. When we love something ANYTHING we are extremely passionate about it and are totally focused.Even though im quiet/ shy by nature, when I played basketball I played with that same passion as KG.Always talking, calling out picks etc but no trash talking just a competitors type conversation.

My old man always schooled me about local basketball growing up. He told me that there was a player better than Kevin Garnett from the same high school named Rodney fields. Iv seen all the documentary’s since. But it was like a mythical legend to me when I was so young.
