I know they're all used to being on camera all the time and stuff, but still cool to see them do step a little outside their comfort zone. The quality of the final product doesn't even really matter, impressive and fun of them to do it.

Yeah I wanted to comment something similar. It's nice to see people whose careers are literally speaking before thousands in front of a camera still get stage fright when it comes to a choral performance. They did great too.

It’s nice seeing this kind of thing. I thought I was weird because I have no problem singing acting and dancing on a stage by myself in front of people, it’s actually something that gives me more confidence. Get me to do a presentation by myself in front of lots of people and I want to die. Seeing this happening makes me feel better about myself and gives me a lot of comfort

They def got into their heads more. There voices were good but some got nervous from over thinking. Lud is right if they messed up literally no one would notice. When I used to do cheograph dance and the audiance never noticed when someone messed it up as long as you roll with it as if its part of the performance. Just don't point it out that you made a mistake in the middle of the performance.

literally. the first time lud looked over at leslie i could 'kinda' hear it, the 2nd time i literally didnt hear a single issue. its just when they get in their heads and start thinking how theyre choking which cause them to pause and nervous laugh and shit, THATS what ppl hear :(

Yeah, I am sure that due to the nature of her job, she's now more used to intense scrutiny (5 second clips can blow up in her face instantly and be endlessly replayed, and she's live for hours at a time), while being less used to seeing people in front of her. It's probably not a good combo and I can see how it could lead to more stage fright.

I thought they did bad because of the comments that critics their actual singing talent. The heck, they harmonized well! Off keys in some part. But they regrouped and reharmonized instantly. They’re good at listening with one another, Thats a trait thats hard to teach in chorale singing or group singing like this!

Oh cmon, they definitely messed up a lot. And all they would have needed was like 20 more minutes of practice, to ace it. And maybe someone else to help judge a few details in the practice. Like a conductor would. But eh, its not like it was terrible. I just had higher hopes for em, because theyre all really great singers and could have done better. Ofc, they had nerves too, but from my own experience, nerves are from insufficient practice, and I definitely stand by the assessment they had too little practice.

@@rist98 uhmm i guess so. In the end, it really is a for fun presentation that didnt really need to perfect. I agree individually theyre great singers and they just needed more time to practice. Then again, its a for fun presentation for QTs event. Thats how I see it tho.

just wanna appreciate how the crowd seemed so supportive of them even when they messed up!! getting laughter and cheers must've eased their nerves even just a little bit, and i loved that energy the crowd provided for them. so sweet, and they did a great job as well!! their harmonies are amazing

For only practicing together 2 timers for a max of a few hours, they did pretty fucking great. Sure they would have been a little tighter if they practiced more but that’s unrealistic trying to coordinate 4 busy schedules. Great singing and was fun. Lud intentionally trying to make the other more awkward is so damn funny to me.

lud was intentionally trying to push the awkwardness out of the way before the performance** ftfy edit: its like one of the most common standup/stage/performance things to do, once you get over that initial awkward period it tends to be much better as opposed to hitting that nervous chuckle in the middle of it (which happened anyways regardless, but lud definitely did not try to harm them lol)

The fact that I did this for choir in High School every year, so it was ingrained with me. I heard Wendy so I knew when to come in, when Leslie came in I was like ???? One of us is wrong here, and I thought it was me because the key was different from when I sang it. I love the way Wendy and Lud are holding their binders, it gives me flashbacks but there's good reason for it otherwise you'd have your nose buried in your binders without people seeing your faces. They still did great. Leslie and Lily just let their nervousness get to them

Honestly, as an acapella singer, I appreciate Leslie's history with it and her willingness to do things like this even though she may feel embarrassed by it. Also, Wendy did an amazing job holding her part despite a bit of chaos. Also, I miss singing tags and the pitch-pipe brought a happy feeling back to me,, so thanks for that I guess.

That was really good, I’m in s hours so this is like a classic you do each year, and irs np so nice to be able to really hear the baritone, and just all the parts in general, it was nice to hear how clean they were, ofc it could use some work but (I’m sorry I don’t know the name of the person singing her soprano part!) sounded really nice and had good control. It overall sounded great and was so cool to see Steamers singing bc I never would have expected that, really nice : D
