Nice looking system. I have had pots before with the fins. They serve to created more surface area for flame contact. Kind of like turning a four inch pot base into a ten inch base. Probably also serves to contain more of the heat under the pot. Nice review. Thanks.

Looks like a good stove with some interesting features like the fold out supports that fit into the pot. But, I already have a JetBoil and the benefits of the Petrol aren't enough to offset the cost of me buying another stove at $80. If i was in the market for buying my first pot stove, the Petrol would be a good option.
