Nightcrawler has always been my favorite, but dang I don’t think I’ve seen him this happy before. Closest was Nightcrawler from Evolution, and even then he had enough (justified) hang ups to not always be the fun dude.

@@goldenaxle5540 precisely my point. Kurt always seems to be half down half up whenever he shows up. Heck, his past appearances here were some real heavy stuff dealing with important stuff in his life that left very little to show how much fun he is, but here he’s basically having the time of his life. It is sad what happened later, but it doesn’t take away how he was so happy that he could replace the sun with how bright he was.

Yall talk about feeling sorry for Kurt and his hang ups meanwhile in the comics Rogue is the one who gets gang r@ped in Genosha which the writers dealt with so casually except for the trauma becoming a barrier with Gambit. So honestly if you think he has problems you have no idea.

I love this scene so much, not only because we get to see Kurt using his Catholic faith to give advice, but we also get an analysis of Gambit. When he says he's "too busy sinning," he's trying to justify to himself why he doesn't deserve to love and be with someone like Rogue. He's saying "I'm too far gone for mercy. Rogue should have someone less sinful." Kurt realizes this, and states that "there is no love without sin." In other words, he reminds his friend that "The temptation to sin will always be there, no matter who and where you are. So, you must strive to rise above that through forgiveness and charity."

People often forget that Rogue ain't that young. She's pushing thirty and, for all of Magneto's faults, he wouldn't dare touch a woman if she wasn't of age and had her full consent. He's seen enough of that garbage back in WWII. And mutants tend to age slower than regular humans. Gambit knows her better than anyone, even her, gives him credit for. He forgave her a long time ago. Still don't support Magneto/Rogue, but their romance is part of comic book and their character history, so can't ignore it even if you don't like it. It's like with Nightwing and Starfire and Batgirl.

No, I think he got it right. There are many times where sin is definitely committed during love, but those that truly love you are the ones that forgive. (Did not think I had that kind of idea for romance considering I might be asexual)

Ok my actual grippe with the episode ? Exodus. Why use HIM as a cameo ? Who freed him from the tomb Apocalypse sealed him in ? And if it's Magneto, why isn't Exodus helping against the sentinels considering he is a goddamn WMD himself ? And that kids, IS a lesson in adaptation. Do your research before adapting. Cus this is like having Gill from SF3 hanging out in a bar and nothing coming out of it...

Bro's just dancing at a block party dude, you don't gotta go after him like that. Maybe this version of Exodus is a pacifist. Maybe he was offscreen fighting other Sentinels. Maybe he doesn't want to use his powers in the middle of a densely populated Mutant settlement. Maybe he's not as powerful in this timeline because he never met Apocalypse.
