Those trays are a dime a dozen nowadays! Very few are used anymore, hence the reason they are in all the thrift stores! You give them new life!

Don’t heed those who carry on about painting the metal. If you didn’t, they would still be languishing in the large stacks I see in thrift shops everywhere. Better these pieces (that are not valuable) find a new life centre stage than end up in a landfill. Love your transformations!

Theses trays aren’t actually silver, they’re just a metal with a thin stainless steel coating, so don’t worry about painting them. Gorgeous!

On the fist tray when you said you were going to use transfers, I actually said outloud "please use the Bird's" . I just could see them on this tray. They are such a special transfer and this tray is just the right piece. Xxx

So glad you popped into my feed. I literally just thrifted that very first tray that you did w/the birds (so pretty!!!) & wasn't sure if the etching on the tray could be covered up with paint. 2ndly I did not realize that I would need to seal it before painting it, so that is a VERY helpful tip. Don't know why people are upset if your painting over silver-plated items as they are truly not worth much (do a google search) & if they were solid silver all you have to do is look for a stamp either showing the percentage 800 or 925 or stamped "silver". My tray has a bit of rust on it so am pretty sure it's not even silver plated and is also scratched so hopefully I will turn mine into something beautiful too 🙂

I wish IOD would make a transfer with just these birds. Like a pack of 10. Maybe different color birds if one may want to use as a wall border. This was a pleasure to watch. Thank you

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE BIRD IOD SUGGESTION,,I'm on the fence with their products because they are often too spooky,,,,not as sweet or feminine as I think many ladies would agree,,WHO NEEDS BUGS AND MEN WITH ANIMAL HEADS IN THEIR DECOR 😳
