This would be the perfect keyboard if corsair released SDK support so game developers can use the rgb specific to the games like razer does. Such as game cool downs are represented on the keyboard itself with its rgb keys.

I'm fairly sure that's just because Prawn got the UK ISO layout, if you're buying in the US it should come with a standard ANSI layout

How can you move the media wheel so easily? I really have to relativly firmly push on it with my fingers to make it move in one direction. The circling with your finger is definitialy not possible with my wheel. Always feels like it's rubbing one something that prevents it from moving easily. I actually really don't like using it due to this "issue".. somehow just doesn't feel right. I also noticed that on your keyboard, the round button in the middle of the wheel doesn't move at all when turning the wheel. At my K100 it always starts moving slightly in the direction of the wheel turn (not much, but noticable). Since the stabilizers on my spacebar are also a bit troublesome (pressing the spacebar sometimes makes it "stuck" half way down, so you have to press harder), i really wonder if i just have been unlucky with my brand new keyboard and a replacement would be necessary, or if it's a normal behavior?

Man I need one of this in my life. My grandmom developed tinnitus by the end of 2020 and the keyboard I saved up and spent so much on (of the "R" brand) back in my old work triggers her tinnitus attacks so hard she almost hallucinates (literally a woman in her 80's screaming and going nuts every keypress). I literally cannot get anything done on my workstation. The sound of this keyboard is just perfect for not triggering her hearing and the features match my present use-case. Unfortunately, this thing is just way too expensive and will never fit our economical state. I have never regretted purchasing a keyboard this much in my entire life. 😫

I see on Corsair's website that there are 2 K100 keyboards. One has the optical mechanical and the other one has the cherry MX. The Cherry MX one costs more than the optical. What is the difference between the optical mecho and the cherry mx? I wanted the fastest speed which seems to be the optical and I like the clicking sounds and feel like on the Razor Blackwidow Ultimate. Which is the best choice?

Man you're fast, I guess you're one of the early reviewer of Corsair new products. Damn after I just bought the K95 XT, a new keyboard is released. *Edit: wait, I just realize that Corsair ditch their non standard bottom row keycaps and now they use the common keycaps size... hurrah

@@TheProvokedPrawn I'm still loving my K95 XT though and since this keyboard is priced $30 more expensive, I'm kinda fine with that because it has more bells and whistle than the K95 XT. Imagine if it's priced exactly the same, I'm going to scream lol. Though if someday Corsair release a white version I might buy it because I love white computer parts and peripherals.

I have this keyboard, with OPX switches. It was the Keyboard I bought with my PC build Originally. I THOUGHT I was missing something by goin with the Corsair and OPX switches so like 6mo in I bought a Razer Keyboard. Then a Logitech. Then ANOTHER Razer.. Then keyboard after keyboard, and 9 keyboards later, the K100 RGB is still on my desk and I use it daily. 9 others are stacked up in my closet wasting space. This is by FAR the fastest, most comfortable and complete keyboard out there.. Nothing compares to the speed of these opx switches IMHO and I prefer them to basically anything else out there. I will stick wit this keyboard for a LONG time, cuz nothing else even comes close.

I have a truly crazy question for anyone who knows about these things. I have cerebral palsy and one hand just does whatever it wants. I love sports games like NBA 2K21 or FIFA, but because there are always multiple actions (move left joystick up while holding right bumper, tap X, release bumper, hold down A) for one move I have no chance at actually playing. Since there are 26 keys, could I map 26 moves, each to one key, and have those in one profile - so, for example - the series above would be d?

Fantastic review as always. One question though. I think I learned to type in a forge, because I smash keys pretty hard (you know, pressing harder on a key makes the tank go faster... :-) ). How well can the K100 stand up to this kind of behaviour?

Would you recommend this over the Apex Pro? Especially for someone typing a lot of papers on top of gaming. Great video by the way! I thought I was subscribed before but it turns out I wasn't... but I am now!

Well that's a tough one. Personally yes I would. It's a great keyboard for sure. The Apex Pro is certainly epic as well though. The K100 is better looking generally and has more control options. The Apex Pro has the screen and the adjustable actuation. So it's tough, but personally I'd say the K100 is superior. But there's not much in it. I wonder if your question warrants a vs video. hmmm. What are the light brown keycaps starting at 17:52? You mentioned a combination of the white keys that didn't fit and some HyperX pudding caps, but these don't look like that.

Light brown? The only ones that aren't white are the textured WASD keys and g keys.

Are these noticeably louder than cherry MX browns? I have those on my k70. Also think its worth the upgrade in general from the k70?

They're not quiet, that's for sure. But browns are fairly loud too, so you probably wouldn't care. As you can see the K100 has a lot of features. It's a real premium. I don't think I've tried the K70, so can't compare, but it's the flagship so a lot better in quality and features.

Just got this new keyboard, but the G keys layout messing me up with my typing, any tips for that? Also i love the macro recording function while icue is not running, typically I would record 5 to 10s of on the fly macro, but donno how to stop the macro without icue, anyone know about that?

Coming from a keyboard with similar macro keys, my tip is put your left pinky finger into the gap between s6 and left ctrl. You will get used to it in no time

Just got mine and the front panel, there appears to be no protective layer underneath the sticker itself just peeled off without removing anything, anyone else had this issue?

I seriously can't believe that they moved the "\ |" key next to the left shift. that is the only reason I'm not buying this keyboard Edit: the image they show on the packaging is different than what I said above which causes misleading information
