Many of us are goofy oddball nerds! Pause to breathe as much as you need! Another fun reaction! You hit the nail on the head when it comes to BAND-MAID for, they make me HAPPY! 🤘😎🤘 They do sing in a combination of Japanese and English.

This is one of their fastest songs. They have a really nice slow song that just came out called Memorable. It’s a song to the fans. I guess the video was made while they did their US tour last year. The also have another song specifically to the fans called About Us. About their frustrations not being able to play live during covid. They are truly a fantastic band to care so much. They sing in Japanese and English. But Saiki has an accent. They have two songs totally in English but one of them you'd never be able to tell lol. Dragon Cries and Don't Let Me Down.

This song was commissioned to be the theme song for season 3 of an anime, so the lyrics relate to the story. They have recorded several cool rock ballads, including Endless Story, Daydreaming, Wonderland, Memorable, About Us. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

On their song Blooming Sieki spits out so many words it's a total wonder where she takes a breath or even breathes at all. Oh yes she does breath during some of Kanami's solos. We are going to have to have ambulance on standby if you plan on attending one of their live shows.

So happy you are enjoying discovering BAND-MAID. Intense? Yes, at times. Need a slow down? I believe many fans will suggest the song DAYDREAMING (official music video) - well worth a listen. Also, should you feel like hearing this fantastic band show their love to their fans, give this most recent song MEMORABLE a try which was written by BAND-MAID specifically for their fans. Pretty dang cool. Thanks for listening to these gals. Look forward to your next reaction.

You need to calm things down with more of Band Maid's softer work like "Daydreaming", the official music video, a beautiful rock ballad. Other gentler songs by the group are "About Us" a lament to their fans about them being unable to perform live due to Covid shutdowns. "Smile is a sweet tribute to their fans for making them happy from their response. The most recent Band Maid love song to their fans is "Memorable". Beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, and even beautiful scenery!!!

Interesting second song to pick from them, as this one was written for anime. Mix of 2 languages, phase in english may fit the lyrics, english parts are used because they fit melody better, or third reason for english is parts for crowd to sing along.

In the music video for 'endless Story', the lyrics are shown in the video, so it is easy to see how the song is sung in a mix of Japanese and English.

Yeah, the band in 2019 put out the album "conqueror" featuring more mid-tempo songs than they usually do. They have talked about it - how they played a lot of Japanese summer festivals, and it got so hot the band started worrying they might actually kill somebody. They were hosing down the audience, watching the steam rise, and took to setting off oxygen candles during shows, the kind used on submarines in an emergency. Hence the need to mix it up with some less frantic material. For a change of pace you might find some off the songs from their 2021 acoustic online Christmas concert perhaps?

Debbie, I really think you should do one of their slow songs next…I think you need some recovery time 😂 They just released a new song you should check out that’s essentially a love letter to their fans called “Memorable”. Not all their songs are as frantic as “Different”, as it’San Anime opener song and meant to hype up the viewer. They have songs across the rock music spectrum of all intensities…but the Maids do like to rock hard, so they may throw a little moment of heavy in any song. Another mellow pop-rock song is “Start Over” Take care and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🎸🥁🎤🎼😀✌🏼

I had to install a larger happy tank once I discovered Band-Maid. Also, I found it useful to keep a full tank of oxygen at hand when listening to Band-Maid. The song matches what the anime was about, "Log Horizon" season 3, about a group of people playing a game that were all sent to a "different" world that matches the world in the same.

If you need to pause, pause. We understand. And Rinne, Different and Black Hole are part of what I consider the "Ferret" songs. Rinne is "Ferrets on Adderall", Different is "Ferrets on Speed" and Black Hole is "Ferrets on Crystal Meth". There are a couple of other Ferret songs but I haven't figured out WHAT pharmaceuticals they are on. And Kanami's guitar riff reminds me of evil clown music (Ala Champ). You DO become desensitized after a few hundred listens... Maybe... Yes they are from Japan. And the Ladies do mix English with their lyrics. They do have 2 songs which are completely in English, one is very very racy the other, if you can find the Live performance of is excellent, the MV has too much compression on it. The racy one is "Don't Let Me Down" and the second is "The Dragon Cries" If you can find the Line Cube Shibuya performance from 2-14-2020 it has the best sound.

I always try to airdrum Akane's line in this and Blooming, while other instrumental arrangement and vocals fully going loud in my head.....and compretely left exhausted. look at Akane's wrist, it looks so flexible and relaxed...at that speed! Every member of this band has their unmistakable style. One of the reasons that Band-Maid songs not being for faint hearted sometimes is not because it's hardcore, but they tease with beat and groove, you can't predict when they pause, when it turns from punk beat to jazzy bluesy beat to metal to something like high speed reggae beat and other instruments play around it. Geez. As much as I love this band I need to take a break from them when I have migraines.

These Rock'n'Roll Ladies will take your breath away every time!! As was evidenced here!! And yes, they are from Japan but what is typical in a lot of Japanese Rock and Metal Music, and in Jpop music as well, is they will throw in English words and phrases because it sounds "Cool" in their culture. Ever since the occupation of Japan after the end of WW2 English has been a compulsory course of study for all Japanese Children, though most never reach a Fluent Level...but many English words and sayings have become so common they have totally replaced the Japanese word in everyday language. Much the same in English, we have words we have replaced...for example, "Tidal Wave"...almost everyone now calls it a "Tsunami"..things like that. So no, it was not all in English, mostly in Japanese with English phrases thrown in but good ear for catching it!!] Thanks for another great reaction and as always.... Put your Kitsune UP!! Po! Km

Hope you're okay after that one. Maybe it's time to do a 180 and hear some of their softer stuff? Daydreaming MV is a beautiful power ballad and a fan favorite. You might try that one to wind down. (except during a certain part of the song where Kanami does her thing.) They have a new ballad too, but you really need to know the meaning behind it and what the lyrics mean before you watch it for it to have the right impact.

Band Maid has the Audacity to mix Japanese and English lyrics, to awesome effect. Sometimes, the Japanese wording lends itself better to the quick speech sections. And in some cases, it's a more accurate expression of feeling. But Saiki and Miku do a magnificent job in sharing the lead vocal duties. Kanami and Misa both do backing vocals, although you rarely hear Misa directly. I don't know if Akane is mic'd but if she is, I don't think I've ever seen her singing. Debbie, as a heart patient, I get concerned with your health when you stop breathing, or very nearly so. But your reactions, like your eyes, are awesome.
