Alone in the Dark is a survival horror video game developed by Pieces Interactive and published by THQ Nordic. The game is a reimagining of the original 1992 Alone in the Dark and the seventh installment in the Alone in the Dark video game series. It was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on 20 March 2024. The game follows Emily Hartwood (Jodie Comer) and private investigator Edward Carnby (David Harbour) as they travel to Derceto Manor to investigate.

1992's "Alone In The Dark" was truly magnificent and horrifying. I am so happy that THQ is bringing the series back and Brad playing it makes it x10 better ♥️ Thank you Brad as always for the video.

I am too was born in 89 I grew up watching my uncle play this game we had it on several floppy disks since the game was too big to fit on one if I remember correctly it took seven for my uncle to install it. Just started watching I hope they are as detailed as the original when you die.

Me and my dad used to play this for hours together, sat in front of a 17" CRT monitor hooked up to a 486 with 3dfx voodoo eating crisps and coke, great times.. my dads gone now, but I still remember those hours we spent and shed a tear... when I say he's gone, he's only nipped to the shops... That was the bit that got me too, I was very young and my parents did not know I had the game because I kept it hidden. I started having nightmares and they eventually figured out why and stopped me playing that type of game 😀

My first horror game was Resident Evil 7. I randomly picked it up in Wal-Mart just because I wanted a new game. When I started playing it, my soul left my body, and I couldn't sleep. I also watched your walkthrough to help navigate that traumatizing game. Now, the Resident Evil games are my favorite.

@@VALxTheEpicGamermadhouse is no joke 🤣🤣🤣🤣 took me forever to finish it. The Mia fight at the beginning, good god hahaha. If you have the saw, it’s super easy only hard fights are Mia in the beginning and mutated Jack towards the end. The first Jack encounter is difficult because he moves much faster but it’s totally do-able. I don’t even care about the other trophies/achievements, once I beat it on madhouse, I stopped playing it, wiped me out 🤣🤣🤣

@@LarryMullins lol... i'm on the ship section right now.. i had to stop playing because i'm stuck... i have no corrosive left, and the machinegun was only available during the videotape section... this is one weird and creepy game... i got madhouse through the DLC unlock... its my first playthrough.... so far i've unlocked 18 Steam achievements... i don't know if i'll play it again after this...

its what makes me think Konami doesnt care about SH, cuz if they did they woulda remade the first one first, not the second one. I feel like they did the second one because it has the games mascot Pyramid Head which is marketable right? same with the nurses look. The first remake of number 1 Shattered Memories is great, woulda been so cool to see the original updated. I was so scared by that game as a kid that i never finished it till like ten years later. i think i finshed two before going back into number one. lol.

Brad, from what I remember them saying last year when the demo came out was that it was a standalone prequel demo and not cut out from the actual game. Prob made to give an idea of the tech and feel of the game. Apparently, the original AITD had a similar stand-alone demo back in the 90s so that inspired them to do it with this game.

My 1st horror game was Clocktower 1995 On Playstation. Shortly after that ....The Summer of.... I walked down to blockbuster... looking for a similar game because I enjoyed it so much ...the realism of it...I grabbed a game...to rent....went home tried it and I walked back the same Day to Blockbuster n bought it.... It was Resident Evil. I was 16 at the time. A memory that I would never forget.

I think the first horror game I played was Clock Tower (1995), which still holds up today because of its amazing tension building. It wasn't until years later that I finally watched Dario Argento's movie Phenomena which inspired the game, which is also amazing. I'd love to see a horror game like it, or film for that matter, made today.
