If you see all the place names with Dan in their name you begin to wonder if Europeans were the Danavas. Celts worshipped the “Tuatha de Danann” which means “People of the Goddess Danu”. Just so happens Danu is the mother of the Danavas in the Rig Veda. Both knew her to be a river goddess. This is why you see many rivers (Don, Danube, Dneiper etc.) named after her, not to mention place names like Denmark etc. Danavas were Asuras. The Germanic tribes worshipped the Aesir which is literally cognate with Asura. Then even weirder Danava means a serpent or a dragon which just so happens to be the symbol of the Tribe of Dan in the Bible.

Kuber followed Father's footsteps. Ravana followed Father's footsteps and also, his maternal grand father and uncle trained him virtues of ashuras. In fact Ravana was conceived with a plan to defeat Lord Vishnu.

Asurs are the native peoples of india . Vedic people use to call them asura/demon . You can see that in ramayan discribing lankan people as demon/asura. Later vadic peoples will accept them but they will sarve the socity as low cast.

In Hindu Epics, it is noticed that those who follow Lord Vishnu are referred as Deva and those who follow Siva are Asura. =》》 In Ramayana, Ravana was follower of Siva and his brother Kuber was follower of Vishnu. =》》 Again in Mahavarata though Pandu and Dhritarashtra are siblings; Pandu's family, Pandava were supported by Lord Krishna (incarnate of Vishnu ) where Dhritarastra's family, Kaurava were follower of Omnism. Because Dhritarashtra's wife, Gandhari was from Gandhara (present day Afghanistan). Gandhara also said to be one of the names of Lord Shiva!! It is all about Vishnu (Hari) and Shiva (Hara) !!

This actually would not be the accurate observation: In Ramayan Goddess Sita was the one who was in deep devotion of goddess Parvati and lord Shiva, her entire clan of Mithila worshipped lord Shiva. Lord Ram paid his tributes to/ worshipped Lord Shiva, you will find Rameshwaram temple which was established by lord Ram For Lord Shiva. Tarini the demon/ son of Ravana worshipped Lord Vishnu. In Mahabharat we find Arjun following Lord Krishna and doing penance to please Lord Shiva. All hundred sons of Dhritrashtra were born from a boon of Lord Shiva true but Kururashtra (Bhism and others) worshipped Lord Shiva. Bhisma's guru Lord Parshuram also worships lord Shiva. The thing is that Lord Shiva is Kul dev of all Demons, Gods, Serpents, Ghosts and every living creature regardless of their deeds but since Lord Vishnu is the one that imparts justice while in his different avatars they become his enemies naturally.

esa kuch bhi nhi hai. The devotee of Lord vishu whose name was Gaya, is also considered as Asur, same goes to Prahlad. As well as kumbhkarn. While the devotee ganas are not considered asurs. And we cannot forget vishnu himself is devotee of shiva. he is not considered as Asur.

Why do we Indians continue to mispronounce Sanskrit terms? Why do we mimick foreigners and prefer to mispronounce 'Deva' as 'Devā' _(देव को देवा),_ 'Asura' as 'Asurā' _(असुर को असुरा),_ 'Rām' as 'Rāmā' _(राम को रामा),_ 'Purāna' as 'Purānā' _(पुराण को पुराणा),_ 'Ganesha' as 'Ganeshā' _(गणेश को गनेशा),_ 'Buddha' as 'Buddhā' _(बुद्ध को बुद्धा)_ ....... so on and so forth (and of course 'Bharata' as 'Bharatā ie. भरत को भरता!!)!!? Isn't it similar to an educated Englishman pronouncing England as Englandā _(इंगलैण्डा),_ Jesus Christ as Jesusā Christā _(जीज़ज़ा क्राइस्टा),_ Angels as Angelās _(एन्जलास्),_ God as Godā _(गॉडा),_ Charles as Charlsā _(चार्ल्सा),_ 'Peter' as 'Peterā' _(),_ John as Johnā _(जॉना),_ 'Paul' as 'Paulā' _(पॉऽला),_ ......... - you get the drift. It is even more disappointing to see supposedly "learned" and purported "experts" mock the very foundation of Sanskrit itself which puts such immense importance to 'correct pronunciation' _(शुद्ध उच्चारण)_ that it cannot be stressed more _[ so that you don't end up addressing your own ie. 'svajan' (स्वजन) dogs ie. 'shvajan' (श्वजन') ]_

Alright Two things: 1) Please for God sake stop calling Asura a race or a tribe. Sur means divine and Asur means simply non-divine, according to Vedic sources. They all, Suras and Asuras, just belonged to one race called demigods. So, please stop telling this bullshit like "there were good asuras, bad asuras" because, literally all asuras were bad. In addition, it's Adaityas and Daityas who were related. Prahalad was a Daitya and not Asur. Mahabali was a Daitya and Asura because he despised the Devas, who were God's benevolent demigods and, no he wasn't good either. I seriously don't know when did malayalis started worshipping him during Onam, it's Vamana jayanti. 🤦🏻‍♂️ 2) No, Central Asians were not "mongolic" originally. They looked like something similar to our Jaats who are considered to be related to Hittite nomads through genetic studies. It's was Chengis Khan and his barbaric army who's responsible for giving "mongolic" features to present day Central Asians. In addition, the Mitanis were also Hittite nomads who eventually arose to power by subjugating the native semites. Their beliefs were not Indian or Hindu to be specific, but it's quite apparent that they did share the Vedic origin just like present day Hinduism.

Simple meanings you have make it complicated. Dev: They were good by their deeds and mind. Asur: They were bad by their deeds and mind. Nobody born as Asura or Deva. Don't define them by birth they are asuras and devas.(Only the stupid or bookish people can define that way). What is the difference between Rama and Ravana? Two of them have great powers. One uses it in right way or other uses it in wrong way. THE SIGNIFIER IS NOT THE SIGNIFIED.

@@pratikdwivedi7024 Only at the second part of my comment I'm telling what the latest research finds. Trust me, I keep the scriptures above everything at all times. I have no where conformed to the ideals of Abrahamic beliefs. Scriptures do talk about set of evil beings who are hungry for power and try to defy the laws of nature. In addition, he's not busting any western propaganda. He's simply making things complicated through anthropology. He says, "Asuras are cousins of Deva with another set of beliefs", to which I reply yes and no, some Asuras are related to Devas but it just happens to be. There are many Asuras who are not related to Devas.

wtf is "devas" & "asuras"??? isnt it just Dev & Asur (in plurel) as word "lord" will be just "lord" not "lordas" and why they doing this with every sanskrit word like... shiva, arjuna, ashoka. these all are names so they might not be changed after plurel or language translation. Ranveer will be just ranveer not "Ranveera"
